There was a comic, several years ago... don't remember which, was around the time Marvel started using Malibu's page painting rather then dots... that gave an explanation of Storm's powers, showing that she sees weather patterns as a series of colors in the air around her, and she mixes and matches the colors to create different weather effects. Also remember it saying her body compensated for the weather, to be able to withstand it, such as, when she made an ice storm, her body would heat up to an equal degree to compensate for it.

I wish they would include the fact that she doesn't control the weather but the energies around her that are fundamental to weather and are present in all things (Kinetic,, Potential, Thermal and chemical) in the movies and Tv shows so when she does things like Stimulating her scalp to regrow her hair or creating a new outfit in Xmen97 people aren't confused as to how she did it. They should also include her magical heritage as that would also have been the perfect explanation of how she was able to accomplish that. From what we’ve seen in canon so far, they aren’t able to shut each other’s powers down but they are able to create an Omega Level Electromagnetic Circuit where there powers work together and strengthen each other’s due to the intimate connection between electric and magnetic forces.

We really need you to get all the data we know about being a sorceress supreme and really how much Storms abilitys will pair them, shes already opened up worm holes with no training whats so ever and hse died yes but theres so much more Sorceress magic that we should be able to devulge on, she'll be able conjur shields and almost absorb any energy that tries to penetrate them to nake them even stronger, most of the sorcer magic is quite simlar too psylocke and green lanterns but that need to be recharged where obviously Storm can get unlimited energy from lightning, regardless shell be able to open up black hole where ever she feels and most certaintly control fire and create stars with her sorceress training completed, over omega level for sure, then if hse were to go rogue you would see her as franklin richards really, workingbher way up there over time, this is all besides the fact that eternity has favoured her as a host too before 😉

They work as intended by whoever's writing the character. For example, she had never been an omega-level mutant prior to 2019. When Jonathan Hickman took the reins for the X-Men, in 2019, he made the term omega-level cheap and trivial by adding never-omegas like Storm and Magneto and several others into his redefined omega level club. Another example is Storm outpowering Thor which is another contemporary writer's decision. So, how do her weather abilities work? They change based on the whims of the writer.

As the narrator said in her very first appearance she taps into the electrical potential of the Earth itself to repel Krakoa into space (with the help of Polaris and it must be said) Also read X-men 150 when Magneto is being attacked by ALL the X-men by he specifically mentions Storm as the primary threat. She was creating a tornado around him with a mini vacuum making it hard for him to breathe AND attacking him with lightning. Also in X-men 147 Storm evolves into a sort of "Dark Phoenix" Storm....there are scores of other examples showing her to be Omega level well before 2019.

So, lazy is quite a weird adjective to describe this particular character … Her LONG history and multiple story lines that have shown aspects of her depth would prove otherwise. So I ALWAYS get curious when someone states this character is either (not powerful, lazy, sucks, etc)
