RIGHT, but voice wise, Sarah Conner was in Salvation. REMEMBER John used Her audio recordings SHE made at the end of the original Terminator as a reference guide in the future.

Arnold said himself he is officially done with the terminator franchise and does not need him and could use anyone to fill the role as a terminator. Linda Hamilton also said she is done by saying; "I'm done, I'm done. I've got nothing more to say." She also stated that she has nothing more to add to the character. And if I remember correctly the Sarah Connor chronicles serves as the continuation to T2 and is a different timeline path than T3 rise of the machines. Only way for that series to connect to the movies and the new anime is to ignore dark fate. Also, Genisys introduced the idea of multiple timelines through Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor and to me it was unnecessary. The whole idea of that was to reboot the franchise into a whole new direction. The franchise should just keep it simple by stating that certain events will happen, and Skynet is just looking at previous events in history to best kill the resistance fighters and the date of judgment day and the events leading up to it is inevitable. Lead up to the war and focus on that timeframe. Hell, that could lead to spinoff stories told from the other resistance fighters. Salvation also did something new I actually enjoyed. The reason I enjoyed salvation is the fact it did not use time travel for once and took place in the future during the war. I also enjoyed it for the fact it introduced a variety of terminators. However, I am curious if the rival to Skynet will actually turnout to be Legion in the anime.

@@bassplayer807 I was curious because dark fate changed Skynet to Legion and since there is a terminator game called dark fate defiance that takes place right after judgment day released this year in 2024 it looks like the franchise going forward is going to somehow connect the fall of Skynet to Legion rising.

@@kennyboggs3676 the franchise should just move on from the time travel and move on to the actual war being fought. I actually would like to see a sequel to salvation but leave the whole Sarah Connor and John Connor prophecy out of the story and just focus on the present. Since they are mentioned in rise of the machines; introduce the leaders of John's resistance and focus on them. Since Skynet is a worldwide problem then focus on any number of countries fighting the machines. There are a number of options that could breathe new fresh air into the franchise if someone actually sat down and think about the options that has not been done yet or improve what has been done rather than keep making sequels that serves as a third entry rather than just moving the story forward.

There is one part you are missing: Russia. Terminator 2 had mentioned that Skynet made a logical choice by triggering a Russian counter-attack which it knew would destroy its enemies in the United States. All of this was part of eliminating its creators once Skynet became self aware. Terminator Zero better put in the must crucial part in this series.

Tokyo? Terminator sword fights? Fuck.... lol IT ISNT THAT HARD TO DO TERMINATOR SEQUELS AND PROJECTS: JUST DO WHAT TERMINATOR - RESISTANCE (video game) DID. Tell stories within the established universe where Connor exists but isn't a main character whatsoever. You hear him on radio, or hear from other characters what he has been doing, but you don't really see him etc. Hell, I'd LOVE to see a movie with Jacob Rivers, Commander Baron, Jennifer, Erin, Alvin, Mack etc. Or anything set up story wise like how they did that game. But naw, anime Tokyo sword fighting Terminators... smdh lol Not a good start for getting me hype lol

I love Arnold but there are different skin T800 models. The series should be about John Connor and him finally winning a Future War against the machines. That all the time travel has sped, or changed things making it more difficult. That’s what the story should be about.

i'm not so sure that the title Terminator Zero would work - i mean it could have been better if it was simply called Terminator Tokyo (since it is a spin off series happening in Japan) - using Zero on the title may sound like a reboot of the original franchise - if they really want to give the fans a good show - then they can start the story just right after the judgment day - with the story on how John Connor went through after the world was devastated - while yes we already got T4 Salvation - we haven't seen the young adult John growing into the leader of the resistance - with the future war just starting with new characters helping John to survive through the war

The game Terminator: Resistance did this masterfully. Connor is still involved, but you only hear about him here n there from other characters, or on the radio throughout the game. All other characters are brand new, and it is it's own story. It's why hardcore fans, we embrace it as cannon with The Terminator, and Terminator 2.

Because the T800 infiltrator was based on his look. That is why you see several of the T800 prototypes in "Salvation", all looking like him, when the T600 was the current active model.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles was a great show and WAY better than the sequels after T2. T3 wasn't bad in some ways, but after that, everything went straight to shit. If this show tries to include those movies, it ain't gonna work. Good luck

For this anime to succeed where the last few movies failed, it MUST ignore Dark Fate, and establish in either dialogue or imagry that John Conner is the overall leader of the resistance, and NO ONE ELSE. That's the mistake Dark Fate made, Genesys as well to be fair. Actually, there IS a rival computer network to Skynet in the comics, MIR, a russian AI that was in it's early stages when Skynet took over. It then infiltrated and "uplifted" the russian AI, but ultimately, MIR wasn't really loyal to skynet, and even some parts of it helped the resistance (though not all of it, as MIR was more fragmented than Skynet) There is also ZERO chance that this show will lose viewership to Rings of Power. NOBODY is interested in Amazon's complete _butchery_ of Tolkien's legacy.

T1 & T2 are the only Terminator movies I like. Every other movie in the franchise has been horrible. Needless to say, this is the first time in years since I've been interested in the franchise. I'm cautiously optimistic for a few reasons. I love that its an anime, it takes place in a new setting, and has new characters. As long as they pay homage to the original characters, and they're mentioned as being a part of this universe, then I'm down.
