I have NMN powder from Renue. Figured I’d play human chemistry set with it and look for a single (self) case outcome. Wondering about bioavailability after 2nd pass metabolism. Too bitter for sublingual (and too much powder). Ruins coffee, and heat may denature the compound. So, I bought some cellulose capsules and filled them with the powder (2 caps/500mg). Renue instructions suggest 500mg BID. Is that an appropriate dose according to most recent data?

I wouldn't put it in a hot drink . Start at 500mg and see how you get on before increasing to 1000mg . Different people use the dosage they tolerate . But you must take TMG with for it to work

Would a severe niacin deficiency, like having pellagra cause someone to have very fragile, weak and thin connective tissue. Like ligament and tendon?

There's good data to support the use of NMN for endurance training, it has been shown to significantly improve cardiopulmonary metrics in several trials (within a short time period, appears to have a cute ergogenic effects like a pre-workout). With this knowledge, I think NMN should be taken in proximity to is cardiovascular exercise to get the most benefits from this ingredient.

I've been taking it for 5 years. What benefits have I gained from it? It's hard to know what the 'me' without it would be like. All I can say is what I'm capable of and my appearance. I'm 55, people assume I'm about 15 years younger, I'm still very agile, very strong, and even though I've lost speed, I'm still fast. As well as going to the gym, I skateboard several times a week. Some of that may be down to genes or simply never allowing myself to grow old or even consider I'm ageing, basically maintaining a young mindset. The only hard evidence I have is when I used to play football ⚽️, I would need some good pre season training to start the season being able to do, according to my tracker, 40 or so flatout sprints, general jogging and some walking for 90 minutes a game. Covering around 8 km a game. The last season I played before, I decided to retire and just skateboard, I did no pre season training, but my first game it felt like I was 2 months into the season, I was running around and sprinting effortlessly, it was weird, and the only difference was nmn. Other than that, I can skate non-stop for 2 hours, probably more, without getting tired, I'm ready for breakfast after a couple of hours, though.
