I went into the game without spoilers and I pretty much expected Joel to die at the beginning. When he did die a friend of mine was like "so this is shit storm moment #1" and my reaction was "Really? How are people surprised?" - The only thing that made my head scratch is how Ellie was so broken as a person, that she lacked the introspection neccessary to just realize "yeah, Joel killed a bunch of people and ruined mankind's hope for a cure. I was even mad at him myself" but that wasn't really "unrealistic" or "not in ellies character" so much as that it was disapointing. How people confuse this disappointment that Ellie is not the hero they desperately wanted and expected her to be and what she turned out to be (a broken, murderous semi villain JUST LIKE JOEL) with "bad character writing" just tells me they either haven't played the game, or are too immature/inexperienced in life apparently, as they must never have been disappointed by another human. Then I got to play as Abby and it was a pleasant surprise.

Fun fact in the original ending of GoW3 before you kill zeus he sais "I'm sorry" . They cut if from the game but I feel like it would be cool if they left it in. ( You would still kill him) Then Athena explains he was corrupted. You can find this on youtube in cut voice lines

I mean there's a reason/morale to it. Ellie wanted to end the cycle of revenge. If Abby would have died then the boy would come after Ellie.

@@ARCANIXCZ Joel was murdered because the world is a violent place and actions have consequences that come back to haunt you. Then we have the beach scene. Guess. Who's. Back. But it has an opposite end result. Ellie spares or shows mercy towards Abby for very little reason. Was it because she pitied Abby's withered appearance? Or was it because Lev reminded Ellie of Joel and herself? Or was it the second blip flashback that told her to stop? That ending was bizarre. The writers tried to use a biblical ending. Abby was crucified to suffer for her sins (in a way that wasn't connected/related to her 'crimes'). Then Ellie unbelievably turns the other cheek. Abby survives because of grace (and random coincidences). Thank the Prophet for her becoming friends with Lev, getting caught by the Rattlers and Ellie's PTSD-induced visions. Abby accidentally stumbles into Joel and easily tricks him into an impromptu ambush AND Ellie spares her life because she looks pathetic, reminds her of her relationship with Joel and a sudden bipolar vision told her to _STOP!!!_ She is extremely lucky! Does anything like that sound like the Last of Us universe? David was hacked to pieces for far less. Lol. The ending was logically inconsistent with the story, its themes and premise. If there are no heroes or villains and everything is morally grey, then Abby should be crab bait ;) This isn't a world of miraculous forgiveness. *Real Lesson:* Show no mercy. Kill everyone. Leave no loose ends. *Lev:* 😵 _THE LAST OF US: PART TWO_
