My nephews and I had the privilege of joining Mike and Otto on a guided hunt last weekend. The work this team does for the great State of Florida deserves all the praise in the world. Write politicians and agencies to express support for using dogs to find pythons, a book a hunt … partner with Mike however you can!

Unfortunately no amount of trappers and dogs is going to get rid of the problems that Florida has with invasive reptiles. It makes for great internet content and I respect what Mike does, but even 2000 copies of Mike and Otto wouldn't put a dent in the population of invasives. Especially when there are HUNDREDS of species of invasives in Florida now. Plus, because of there now being a bounty program, there are actually people dumping MORE snakes into the wild so that they can catch them for a reward. Florida's ecosystem is a total mess and won't get fixed.

Trapper Mike, you and Otto are absolutely my heroes. I live in Oregon now, but I was born and raised in Daytona. I spent a lot of my childhood in the swamps, hunting, fishing and camping with my dad. I don't have to tell you how much it upsets me that so many invasive species are trying to take over. You and the very few folks like you should have your own holiday, and be recognized as heroes you are. May God bless you Sir in this life and the next.

It's been so amazing to see how much these dogs make a difference, I had commented a few videos ago that you should really try and get the state into funding teams of dogs ans humans working together, I didn't realize that they don't allow it, that seems so counter helpful, just the amount of nests you found alone with the dogs should prove to them alone that it's hurting the state not to have dog teams.
