I'm getting that vibe but can you expand.. He isn't just this awkward im hoping... It comes off that he thinks he is superior to the main stream news network. While he may be a genius and superior to him in terms of musicianship, I found his attitude to be that he thinks he is SO FAR OUT and just KNOWS MORE and really just a lack of HUMILITY and etiquette. I'm really into all these young new UBER talented musicians cropping up on KZbin, but if the "future of music" is just cocky hipsters who think they are better than everyone else while actually stumbling through an interview and sending a mixed message. I think I get the intention and while it does speak to a millenial, ironic, hipster, superior, indie anti-establishment, BULL SHI*, then that, my friends, is not the pinnacle of human awareness. sometimes IT'S JUST NICE TO BE NICE. By being articulate, grateful, and showing respect, I think the impression wouldn't have left such a mixed taste in my mouth. And yes I listen to them and many other talented musicians that aren't on the dumb-as* radio....doesn't mean I need to be a dic* about it or think I am so alternative that I must be on some other level to the "super main stream straight edge idiots"who watch the news...AKA literally millions of people. ORRRRR in the case that he is really not playing a part, and is truly just this inept at human interaction.....then uhh, I'm glad he has a career in music and has found his niche bc this ain't it.
@999a0s6 жыл бұрын
@@I_scooter_fast to concisely and seriously address your comment - respect is earned, not given, and nightly news networks have proven time and time again that they aren't worthy of it. there is an inherent power asymmetry when someone is brought on a show like this - they're not brought there to expound on a multifaceted and complex issue, they're there to be pigeonholed into their perceived "controversial" position or role within the story by the anchor. as such there is absolutely no reason to treat the medium with respect. you may as well be silly

@kdt I see that too. Yeah it may not be that bad and I'm definitely looking pretty far into it which I tend to do lol. But I still believe he might have alienated possible fans with the attitude. But yeahz I agree their music is great and they are pure and talented musicians who appreciate or respect music itself for sure!! Haha I'm surprised how many comments my random rant got. Nice !

I feel that the stumbling is also part of the act. Make you feel like he is unsure of himself, and then "bam" he hits you with some sarcastic material so deep. He's doing it to slow down the listener to make them actually listen to the words that he is saying, but also read between the lines.

Do you like the movie? I see how the pausing and the interruptions are pretty spot on but I just don't understand if you're saying that the script is a jumbled mess or if the intentional awkwardness mimics those moments where Clooney and Pitt have full on conversations without ever finishing their sentences. Sorry I'm so late to seeing this comment but I've only ever watched the version of this interview from Vulf's channel, not CNBC

this pay per play complaint doesnt' make sense if you don't know how much revenue is generated per play. If Spotty-Fi makes a dollar per play Then paying the artist a sixth of a Penny is misserable, but if onw play generates 5 pennies from Spotty then the rate is arguable.
