How good are Elden Ring castles? | StormveiL Review

I think it was in one of A Tarnished Archeologist's videos in which he speculated that the golden decor on Stormveil is due to Godrik obsession with " All that is golden"

The issue is that Godrick did not build stormveil. It was built by the storm lord, that was battled by lone Godfrey. Godrick only hides there after fleeing from Leyndell using the mimics veil. So your thought is definitely and for sure wrong.

​@troubleman6940 The original thought from Tarnished Archeologist is that Godrik modified the battlements to the current golden versions, which is somewhat supported by the three levels of ornateness found in the castle. It's not at all certain (it IS a FromSoft game after all) and certainly would be in character for Godrik to add useless golden ornaments to the detriment of the castle defenses.

It popped in my recommendations. Probably because i'm into languages. I also liked your avatar video where you talked about demographies and your castle review videos. I am s*cker for all kinds of stuff like history, culture, languages and judging by your channel you do make videos on those topics atleast i've seen so far. I'm already subscribed to you and looking forward to your next videos. I may suggest doing castle review on japanese castles from games like ghost of tsushima and Sekiro, cuz they are different from traditional european castles or just wacky castles in general. i'm working on a review for redmane castle, i also made a review for castle morne if you haven't seen it yet, after redmane, i'll review castle soul and the shaded castle and then i'll do some sort of direct comparison

I think only good caslte was stormveil kind of. The rest were just broken down places or small ass forts, I found the game very lacking in this regards to the older games, where the castles would tower over the whole map
