Chatfish Mini somehow managed to defeat my bot, Lemonfish, so I figured I should figure out just how good it is.

what if you just take all the rules ever put in any chatfish variant and gave them random weights and you made 1024 of these and had them fight and then the 512 winners continue existing and the 512 losers disappear, getting replaced by near-copies of the 512 winners and repeat until the best chatfish variant is found

a sample size of 1 game pair per player would be nowhere near enough to overcome the randomness unless the random component was small, but then you'd need a lot of iterations to get significant change (a sample size of 1 game per player would be even worse, and biased)

You should make bots with very different playstyles and make them play each other, one, for example, plays very aggressively and the other defensively, it would be very interesting

what happened to chatfish mini? I only watched the first half of the chatfish mini vs lemon fish stream, and there it looked like chatfish mini was terrible. Was there a bug in the code? Or what am I missing?
