I was raised by narcissistic parents and what you are saying about grooming and the marks it leaves on its victims is true. As a child i was groomed into the role of the surrogate wife for my dad (covert incest) and breaking out of that spell was eye opening.

@@ehrensjournal Most males are driven to mate/impregnate in abysmal poverty (the expression "make babies in a cardboard box" is not just an idiom). I compiled a playlist. You need to watch it.

You are making a good contribution with your chanel Ehrin. I deliberately lived 5 years alone in secluded forest settings, celebate, and affectionately named the period " ReDefining Myself as Defined by MY SELF". A very important aspect of healing. Owning our own part in our own play is the only way to shift the script. Accountability to Self. Looking after ourselves.

I’m so glad to see younger women voicing their experiences of this before they reach the age of 60+. Lifetime of grooming/SA from the age of 13 in my case. We need each other to heal, hope all is going well on your journey ❤

I feel SO MUCH. I'm 29, and I'm still struggling to recognize and, most importantly, accept my feelings. My friend and her boyfriend have been so kind and helpful to me. Her boyfriend was incredibly supportive, listening to me, introducing interesting topics to chat about. He was really sweet and cute, and I felt genuinely safe. However, things took a turn when I was groomed by my friend's boyfriend for a year into having a threesome with them. We ended up almost having sex. I know perfectly what does it mean to be like handicapped ,even though I realized something was off, and he (they) definitely wanted something from me. I felt trapped and couldn't reject or express that to them. So, I went to therapy and started working through that, eventually cutting off communication with them. It hurts to realize that the friendship that lasted 1.5 years was fake, and they were using me for their relationship benefits.

I remember a video where researchers had convicts observe video footage of random people from cctv street cameras walking around. they were able to pinpoint which people they would target for victims. by the way they walked or dressed, etc. even from far away. theyre lifelong abusers. insanely good at manipulation and a foolproof mask. another important video series I watched (that I encourage everyone to see because its so powerful) was a video series called predators by anna c salter. its from the 90s but nothing has changed for predators since then besides introduction of technology. shes a dr who specialized in pedophilia and child abuse. also wrote a book about it that I read. she interviewed many convicted sex offenders on their manipulation and grooming tactics. the level of thought and just devious behavior was terrorizing. they targeted people at churches because the patrons were more "gullible". they would help people all the time and constantly offer assistance. be involved in community projects. every single thing they did was preparation so they could have access to children. thank you for all your videos. you have a calming presence, your story and shared wisdom are invaluable.

It has taken me almost a decade to realize that what I felt when I was in my early 20s was not love but grooming and a predatory relationship. SO much of what you've said her rings very true for me. Especially the oversharing and fawning. I idolized the predator for YEARS and im still trying to break their spell. It is so insidious how they can weasel their way in and you dont even realize the damage they are doing. Thank you so much for sharing these videos.

I am so sorry you went through this. I went through similar experience at age 12 to age 23 from a predator who found me walking home from school . I married him as soon as I tuned 18 and had his child. He is 11 years older and this all started when he was an adult and I was a child. I’m 52 now and I spent most of my 20s and 30s in the same manipulative relationships. I’m finally free and in a safe place and relationship. It’s heartbreaking to know the internet makes it so easy for predators . I saw this immediately in 1994 in AOL chat rooms.

So far what you have shared has resonated with me more than anything else I have watched or read on grooming. I’m in the in between place of getting out and realizing I can eventually recover.

*2:50** volunteered once with a full background check & a temporary permit at my faculty to do one of my research studies & was told to wear my long winter jacket☃️inside the interrogating room to be protected & not show tells of availability but truly got sexually harassed😳by the Chauvinistic Superior(Crass Lusty)Officer👺who even used to call me📳 at odd morning hours🤦‍♀️+ made lewd remarks & not by the actual convicts, (except one murderer who was too creepy) facing their justice who responded well to my interview...🙈🙉🙊*

Unfortunately, even schools grooms pupils for submissive conduct by rewarding obedience, let alone religious organizations. It's only science that teaches us to question & test claims for validity, while confidence in math helps establish confidence in reality (to notice gaslighting). Sadly, girls math & science education is often ignored to our determent. I completely agree that one's dress/style sends a signal, aka non-verbal communication, & can be utilized for self-protection.

This is such an important video, because after I was abused, it happened so many times and kept escalating. I honestly feel if I didn't get helped, I would honestly end up dead. I once had a man in the building opposite me look at me like he wanted to kill me. Being in a cult was the absolute worst, I have learned that it is normal to completely give someone control over your entire life. I went through a period of very dangerous and reckless behaviour its a very long process to heal from abuse

Sounds familiar. It starts in childhood more often; I had to walk on eggshells and thought Narcissism and abuse was normal without having had a word for it at the time. It's better to stay single even if for decades. Healing during this time and hope that there are normal and good men out there somewhere. The predatory behavior must come from somewhere, not sure what their moms and families did but I guess absence of love and attention or too much attention could be a reason.

Same thing happening with parents grooming their kids to change their gender. When I was 10, I didn’t know which way to part my hair. How can a kid know what gender even is?
