Nice to meet you today Arvid! This is such a cool concept of construction. It is so harmonious and natural, environmental and sustainable, and will last for many generations.

I am really glad to have recently found you on KZbin, especially now that I know a little about why you do what you do. One day perhaps I might be able to learn to build log cabins as well and do it as a full time job

@@maxmcintyre9192 I’m sorry, no - not at this moment. If I do I’ll let you know 😊 But if you would like to get into it my best advice is to offer your help for a reduced rate or for free for a while with a company that does work in this field 🪓

I live in a log building, built for me in 2003 which was constructed not as meticulously as yours. Problems with insulation and heat loss. But if I were to build another house for myself I'd still choose a log one. Perhaps I'd find a better builder than the last one.

What a wonderful video and story!!! Do you by chance know what is growing on the roofs for all of the live roofs in your video?
@aafjeld7 ай бұрын
Really appreciate it, thank you 🤝 Yes, most of our clients grow regular green grass/field grass. Some keep them very well maintained, and some let it grow wild 😄

Hvilke knuter er med i lafteveiledningen?
@aafjeld11 ай бұрын

@aafjeld11 ай бұрын
Vi bruker lange bor på rundt 50 cm og diameter på 30 mm - det kan man få kjøpt hos de fleste byggevareforretninger 😊

Thanks Arvid beautiful work. I have attended a few log building courses and your book brings it all together for me. Going to build a small cabin over the winter here in Scotland following your method and using oval logs. Alex

Those logs are so perfectly unifomed How do you grow them like that
@aafjeld11 ай бұрын
I am afraid it doesn’t grow like this, but that would be a charming feature 😁
Beautiful work. But, too beautiful. Looks too perfect. Zero rustic appeal.
@aafjeld11 ай бұрын
Thank you! 🤝 It will get a bit more rustic when treating it with tar. Some clients want more of a rustic appeal than others, so it varies somewhat how we build 😄
