Sorry to be that guy, a UPS doesn’t “kick in” it’s always powering your stuff. It’s plugged in to charge the batteries constantly and if the power goes off then it just keeps going but it’s batteries are not being charged. It will work until the batteries run out.
@JevenDovey3 жыл бұрын
Whops. Explained it wrong. But in a way it kicks in if the power goes out. 😂
@jragadio3 жыл бұрын
Also, depending on the UPS model, not all of them are "line conditioners", that ensure the power quality coming in is nice and clean.

Great video - thanks for all of the hard work and thoughtfulness that went into this. One criticism - your speakers are too low. The tweeter should be at ear level. You can get some cheap monitor stands on Amazon. Also consider the distance from the monitor to the wall behind it - you're going to be getting standing waves around 100-200hz. I can tell just based on the distance to the wall because I have the same problem. You'll either want to dampen the wall behind the speakers or calibrate them to attenuate that issue.

I bought the usb hub for my new Mac mini when I saw your video, and it really doesn't work well for me. I have two screens like you. I plug the hub into thunderbolt on my Mac mini. I first tried plugging in a display port to the hub and an hdmi screen to my Mac mini and found that it didn't work well at all. there is signal loss because of this hub. I chose to buy this hub while watching your I then tried connecting one screen to the hdmi of the mac mini and the second screen to the hdmi of the usb c hub gen, but even so my screen takes a long time to turn on. when my mac mini goes into sleep mode, my asus pro art display takes a long time to wake up. (hdmi no signal) but there is too much signal cutout due to this hub. moreover, it is impossible to connect two screens to this hub. have you encountered loss of signal or am I the only one? I think I will turn it back and take an hdmi cable to usb c directly. Bad expérience with that hub gen 12-1. For me. Is your is better with your monitors. No lost signal ???
