I see a lot of comments here complaining about how long Scott talks about the products and methods he uses/does. His purpose for making these videos is to show and go in depth on how to get the best and most effective results when cleaning. If you want a before and after there are other videos to watch, simply type that into the search bar. Scott does a great job of showing his methods that have worked for more than two decades, the guy has a lot of knowledge. Don’t piss and moan because “he talks too much.” He’s just passing on effective methods and useful information to people who want it.

I just got to tell you buddy you are a lifesaver. I've been detailing this F350 for a few days now and it's probably one of the worst I've ever seen. Grease and oil stains everywhere and the headliner was just caked. It's tan interior and the headliner was black stained with grease oil and smoke stands. I sat there and scratched my head trying to figure out how I was going to clean it. And after watching your video I did just what you said. But I used Tuff Stuff and omg and I amazed on how awesome it worked and turned out perfectly clean. Thank you very much for your awesome tips I always appreciate them

It's 2024 and I'm just seeing this but SO GRATEFUL for the info! I had a car in the 90s that DROOPED so badly after I cleaned it that I had to pay to have it replaced! Good to know my 2013 car's headliner I recently bought can withstand a little normal cleaning!

Great info Scott. Used your technique and Super Clean to clean Coke splatter from the headliner on my wife's 2015 Honda. I used a dilution of about 10-12 to 1 in a spray bottle. Cleaned the spots and whole front driver and passenger sides. The headliner looks awesome and brand new. Loving your videos👍🏼

Thank you Scott! I just found you! I live in Shady Shores near Denton so I will give you a call! We are classic car collectors for many years and also keep our regular cars as nice as we can with detailing on a regular basis. I splashed diluted coca cola on my MazdaCX5 light colored headliner when my garage door opener fell into my cup! It's not real noticeable but I want to clean it. Can someone tell me what the liquid cleaner is that you are using for the headliner? I must have missed that. Thank you. You are awesome! PS- as a teenager I was always into cars and had classics" back in the 1970's that I did not know would be classics one day.- I am now a young 67 year old and I used to detail my own cars and my relatives cars.... When people today say to a detailer- "what ? It's going to cost me how much?" They need to be educated on the different components of the car, the materials it's made of and the EXPERTISE not to ruin it but restore it back to its former glory! And the fact that the person neglected the car for years....That is why!

Quality stuff as usual. SO what about an almost new car that is virtually spotless but the headliner smells like smoke from the previous owner? I don't need to clean visible spots, I need to get the odor out. So what product will do that (without a cover-up hideous after scent) and what technique? Obviously don't want to saturate the headliner, nor do I want to steam for too long to ruin adhesives, but I'm afraid of removing the smell & ending up with a sagging headliner. Last question...do you take detail appointments???

If you're auto detailing for a living. You want to learn every trick you can. It's probably best to use a good industrial steamer that has different settings. Turn the machine down and use a little bit of steam to loosen up those fibers and the dirt. Come in with a clean microfiber like this and scrub the headliner clean. The steam will probably make the process a little easier for you. But this trick is actually good for doing other upholstery cleaning. Now I know what to do with those smaller microfiber towels.

Hey Scott, that’s pretty cool. What I typically do is wrap the towel around a soft bristly brush. My wrists are jacked up at my age but I also found it makes the job quicker.
