@sebastiangudino9377
@sebastiangudino9377 Жыл бұрын
He probably knows more, that sounds crazy, but there is a rational. You can see he sometimes shoes the code for parts of the game. This is because this game uses MonoGame. A game engine that works with C# code, all the logic is compiled into a DLL and, as it turns out, it can be decompiled back into the original source code (Approximately) This means that he has a copy of the source code, and the skills required to read it. And as such, lines of code that Concerned Ape wrote once and then never touched again has been studied by BlaDe and other speedruners deeply, and apply to exploitable scenarios (Scenarios which, as a game developer, you actually try to avoid). So if you placed ConcernedApe and BlaDe on the same situation in SV and ask both of then what the output is going to be. Then BlaDe would actually be correct far more times than ConcernedApe. Which is pretty cool

also blade, I really just want to say that I really love your style of speedrun. I'm not big into the speedrunning scene, and in fact the only conventional video game that I have a deep understanding (and time spent according to steam) is stardew, and I enjoy the world of stardew speedruns. however, I'm not crazy about the frantic real world timed conventional speedruns. they're honestly just too stressful for me, but also, I absolutely hate that style of playing stardew, where you just sleep a bunch of days. I greatly prefer to "fewest days spent" over "littlest real time spent", I think it requires more creativity and satisfying effort, and just better matches the pace of playing that I like. you never do that, you are absolutely "make every second count of every day count", so immediately you've won my heart. I think your unbelievably thorough understanding of this game is far more impressive than blunt reflex skills. your approach towards achieving goals at an unbelievable date in the game is so enjoyable and fascinating to watch. it comes across as true mastery of the game, but you also are creative and keep coming up with new self imposed challenges that are more ridiculous than the last. and it feels like a true love of the game. you don't spend THIS much time understanding and mastering a game unless you really enjoy and appreciate it, especially a game like stardew with so many nuanced mechanics and an infinite skill ceiling. that love really comes through in your videos, and I really enjoy that. sorry for rambling, but I just really like how you speedrun. also, your accent rocks and I'm in love with your cat. what a lovely little guy.

Thank you so much for the kind words :) These runs that aim to do a goal in the least amount of ingame time has been dubbed "Challenge Runs". I do do the occasional speedrun as well. The Krobus video is an example. I enjoy both styles of runs, but can understand those who don't.

on the day of a travel cart, you can change the seed in a new file, but press B and close it, and then load your main file, and the contents of the travel cart will be different. So keep trying random numbers until the travel cart sells everything you need. this also works with changing contents of supply crates, and also crop quality, and contents of dirt worms, among other things.
@BlaDeSDV
@BlaDeSDV Жыл бұрын
That is true. I discovered this, and we have dubbed the strategy "Dynamic Seeding". I have used this strategy in the videos "How I Proposed to Penny Before the First Egg Festival" and "I Will Bend Time and Space for Krobus". I don't need to try random numbers - I have scripts that tell me the results of the cart for different seeds, so I use this to find seeds that work. I am planning a run that utilises Dynamic Seeds to completed the CC in 2 weeks.
