You are heaven sent. I have locs and this SB is some BS... i have been depressed because of this stuff. I keep my hair and scalp hidden because I am embarrassed. I have googled, researched, looked on Facebook and went to the doctor...no major help til now. The doctor told me NOT TO USE PEPPERMINT OIL... i look forward to following you

Kim shropshire Thank you for the love. Idk I like the peppermint it cools my scalp. But I don’t go crazy with it 5-7 drops, massage it thru and it feels so good. I’m still doing research but ima figure it out. I know what you mean with SB. It is annoying but I refuse to let it control my life. But like I mentioned to everyone it’s starts from within. Certain things you just can’t indulge in anymore. Ima change it up for y’all, so ya can see exactly what I do from health wise to what I apply. I’m not all the way healthy 😂 but there’s a lot of things I had to let go and yes I started to see a difference

Live Like Its Your Last hey 👋🏿 I have scalp psoriasis and Sisterlocks and having Locs has really helped my scalp as I leave it alone - none of the comb tugging etc. Also I use minimal products but what’s really helped has been the medicated shampoo with ketoconozole which helped get on top of it - nizoral and dandrzol in particular. I’ve found that aloe gel (refined in a tube so no bite get stuck in my Locs) really cools and calms my scalp and has also reduced my flakes, itchiness and flare ups. The main thing has been looking at what I eat and increasing my water intake. It’s a horrible condition and very annoying in the scalp with locs but I keep on top of it now. The other thing I’ve found is that my scalp and hair love the sun. In general I have to wash my hair every 7-10 days to stay on top of it and keep my scalp clean but with the medicated shampoo, once it’s been treated, I find that I can go for weeks without washing my hair because I have no inflammation or itch. Good luck

I've been diagnosed with SD and unfortunately oils seem to make my scalp worse. At least if I don't wash it out. I'm so disappointed for myself. I love my oils. But I'm so glad to see that following up with your favorite products work. I was reading the site and they say you shouldn't do it because it washes away the treatment. But there's no way I can have a dry scalp when that's part of the problem in the first place. I'm losing my hair because if SD and mine is considered "mild" 🤦🏾♀️
@BelindaCheryll5 жыл бұрын
I know I’ve heard oil isn’t good but, grad day l, what am I to do keep washing my hair which would cause more dryness. I needs my oils. A light oil. I can’t I would be just straight skin without my oils. I’m natural I need my oils. I wash my hair apply my leave in creams and oils and I should be straight for a week or so. But I can’t completely get rid of my oils. Either way it will get bad with or without the oils. Well for me, so I choose to apply oil when necessary.
@nicegyrl15 жыл бұрын
@@BelindaCheryll I think you're right about the either way part. Once I get it to calm down I'm going to try to find a way to use my oils. They started me on a medicated shampoo
@scarletrosel4 жыл бұрын
it all depends on the oils. my derm told me not to use oils that I can eat because the fungs/ conditions thrives from oils. so far I have jojoba oil and castor oil (yes I know you cant eat that) but I needed some think to add moisture to my hair. i'm just Tgel and that shit is harsh.
@nicegyrl14 жыл бұрын
@@scarletrosel the castor oil makes my scalp sore. Some of my hair has grown back since this post except for the middle of my hairline which saddens me. But that's interesting what your derm said 🤔 I'm still experimenting but so far I've been using glycerin and water, or a fresh rosemary spritz. I think all of these shampoos are harsh. I do have T Gel but haven't tried it. I've been using Selsun Blue

I have psoriasis I have had it for years. Only now it remains in certain parts of my scalp. 😔 my question is have you ever tried the rice water? My hair has not been growing for some time now BUT I think 💭 now after watching your video it’s bc I do not have a regimen in addition to some of the products I’ve been using. and also bc I didn’t know what to use ( although I know what NOT to use) on my hair. So I’m excited to try those oils you suggested. The coconut oil has not been working for my hair so I’m going to switch it up. But your thoughts on the rice water having the dermatitis would be appreciated. Thanks for the videos so very proud of you in taking that leap of faith🙏🏾

Man that awful. I was watching video on locs, seems interesting. They were taking care of their locs with ACV apple cider vinegar. And apply aloe on your scalp. They work

I actually had lots for 3 years and when my husband picked what he thought was lint out, the whole loc came off because it was holding together through a big patch of flake. I cried and it took me 2 weeks to comb them out. I've wanted to shave my head because of this. But it is gut health and dairy. I already know, hair be alright for like a month , the second I drink ice coffee it's over. Good luck to yall!
