It’s all about healthy well and with intention. Buying food and snacks that are good for you is the name of the game. You don’t have to be healthy OR enjoy food/ life. The two coexist and I’m glad you’re shedding light on this 💜

I’ve been dealing with eating disorders for so long now, anorexia before and now binge and bulimia. The binges are the worst and I came to her channel to get a few tips, I’m gonna try my best to follow these. Ps: Her gestures gives me life

I also struggle with restricting and binging, and intermittent fasting might not work well if you binge. Of course try it if you want, but be in tune if it makes your binging urges worse. Abby Sharp's, a dietitian, channel has really helped me understand nutrition more and what foods are more filling.

Oh my god, Zoe you are the best. I was always skinny because I have these genes and body type after my mother, but with puberty I started to gain a little weight, not much, but it made me feel insecure, and for several weeks I tried not to eat for a few days or eat small amounts of calories and I was wondering how I didnt gain weight when I was younger, now I know it was because of my metabolism. You helped me a lot, thank you💗

I was very underweight as a kid even though i ate A LOT and had a massive appetite, plus I didn't really care about my body cause i thought i was never gonna gain weight and it was lowkey a flex lol... Until at 15, i realized i had actually gained some fat, not really much (my heaviest has literally been 50kg) but it still took a toll on me even though people still thought i was skinny because i have a really petite frame

I confirm, it doest work for some and it has multiple benefits. However, it didn't work for me because of my e.d. But what has helped me it's listening to my body (i.e eating when hungry), properly chewing and enjoying food :)

It’s not physically possible. Most skinny people say they eat a lot but what they actually mean is that they binge. They eat a lot when they eat but most of the time they don’t eat. In reality the calories they take in over time is very little compared to non skinny people. This is essentially what intermittent fasting is.

In high school I used to go roughly 18 hours without eating and then have my first meal at 4pm (the end of the 18 hours) and then I'd have my last meal at about 10pm 💀 so basically I did intermittent fasting without meaning to 😂😂 but I am underweight so make sure to eat lots of calories if u gonna do it

Underweight means nothing as long as you have a good health, maybe it's how your body feeling good ? Anyways take care of you this is the most important ! (sorry if I did some mistakes i'm not fluent 😅)

@@gwenbar8144 Um no being underweight means your body cannot produce the hormones it needs to be healthy. You lose your period, have no energy, obsess over food, get mental hunger, have worse moods and SO MANY MORE side effects. You can be on the lower end of healthy yes, but if you are underweight you are not being healthy. Having only “healthy” food is just as bad as having “unhealthy “ foods.

The bottom line is.... Your burn more than you consume. You might think you're eating A LOT but in fact, you eat just enough to maintain your weight. Plus, the fact that you eat greens, meats and whole grain really helps keeping your full since greens are low in calories while meats and whole grain keeps you full for a good amount of time

Exactly the video I needed rn. Since a week I started to eat less than what my body needs because I want to loose some weight that I gained and I know that this is wrong. I already did that like 8 months ago and because of that my metabolism is totally f*cked up...... Nah babe I think your English is wonderful 🤗 Also, I also kinda jacked up my metabolism by eating too little in summer of 2021 trying to lose weight. What built back up my metabolism was marching band season being in colorguard. I was getting 2+ hours of excercise each day and built up muscle from it, so I lost weight really quickly (and when I was at my peak, losing weight just by doing a simple workout routine so I thought my scale was lying to me and gave up but little did I know it was that aha moment, and gained weight afterwards bc I stopped caring). I'd try to get at least 30 minutes of excercise in a day if I were you, with 2-3 rest days a week. :)

I realized that eating too little was not practical for weight loss, since it can actually cause weight gain and metabolism to decline. Now I just am in slight calorie deficit, and it helps me maintain and loose weight.

This is the first vlog or video that I have NOT felt judged by. I too eat more than average and usually end up feeling guilty due to it. I have tried different diets and all, but it all just makes me eat more compared to my everyday diet and so, obviously I gain weight at the speed of lightning. but this video is my new comfort video (if that's a thing) especially when you said that everybody's body is different and unique...I felt it. thanks for making me feel comfortable with having an HUGE appetite! P.S. ( I love your outfit btw! you rock it girl!) edited - can you make a video on intermittent fasting? it's really confusing for me and I would really love the help!

Hi Zoee Thanks for your amazing tips in your videos, I like how you teach us how it works scientifically! For a video idea: could u do a video on how to be ‘satisfied’ with your meals? I’m sure you’ve been there before… I always finish my meals, ate what I want to and my stomach is FULL-so I don’t need to eat anymore but I still feel ‘unsatisfied’ for some reason-Like want more sugar, or this flavour, that texture etc. Then, okay, I control myself to stop eating but then I start snacking to ‘make up for it’ and feel terrible after😭😭 plz make a video on this if you could…

oh i get what you mean, i get that too 😭 i think it's okay if you eat desserts but just like a tiny bit? or maybe your body is telling you that you need something that isn't fulfilled yet, like when you crave chips maybe your body lack sodium, or when you want chocolate cake your body actually needs calcium from milk, etc. it's sending signals but we're misreading it

Sugar inhibits the hormone that tells you you're full, so don't eat a cookie after your meal if your goal is to feel full. Instead, make oatmeal in the microwave and add a scoop of peanut butter for protein. I have the same problem with not feeling full, this after a meal always makes me feel so full.

@say sorry for breathing hyunjins air well there's a lot but to summarize it I do a lottt of resistance training (6 times a week, with sunday as my rest day), I increased my protein intake, I started the intermittent fasting to reduce fat, and added cardio to my life

If you eat a lot of calories and dont get fat either you regurgitate all of it after, or you have a body condition that burn hi amout of calories without training.

You don’t need to do IF to be healthy (in fact it’s not healthy for most people).. just focus on eating balanced meals containing carbs fats and protein and eating more fruits and veggies 👍🏼

Healthy eating is what's helped me most. When I lived outside the states for a few years, I ate mostly what we harvested and everything was home grown. Like I fricking love beans and rice and coming back to the US, all we have is burgers and pizza and it's good too but it's not as healthy. I've cut down chips, sugary drinks and red meats and it's helping. Edit: I also suck at sweating and can endure long hours doing heavy tasks so I wouldn't know when to stop lol

Yes! So many people are shocked at how much I eat too but babe, you're just seeing one meal. I don't really snack and my breakfast tends to be pretty light so that just leaves a bigger lunch and supper. I'm still ultimately eating at maintenance, it's just that I get most of my calories in one meal rather than having them evenly split throughout the day. I don't IF tho bc I have fasting hypoglycemia so those don't go well together 😂 And weight lifting I do for the fun of it, but it definitely helps in the long run too.

You should have an ideal BMI (Body Mass Index): wich is from 17,5 to 25. Below that it's not healthy, and over that it's not healthy (unless you weight much because of muscles and not beacause of fat). You can search for online calculators to calculate your BMI or use the formula: Weight/Height x Height. That's the simpler way of explaining It in a commentary session, but If you keep that in mind, it's enough for now😉 (I'm a medical student trying to help 😊😉)

I noticed when I was chubbier I was eating a lot more fried and oily foods, now I enjoy eating noodles/rice with a broth, vegetables and a small amount of pork, chicken, or beef on the side.

Ohh in the beginning of the video I really wasn’t expecting her to mention IF, but I’m soo glad! Because I’m also doing IF, and it has been my only successful solution ever for losing excess weight! I’m close to my goal now, but being chubby most of my life, I have never been in the “lean” category like Zoe - but that IS my current goal! So her saying that IF is what makes/keeps her this lean makes me more optimistic about becoming “lean” without getting stuck on a plateau for the last 10 or so pounds :) Also, like Zoe, I love being able to eat a lot and enjoy myself out at restaurants with friends, while still losing weight, because of IF!

Sorry to burst your bubble but nobody fasts then eats a ton of foods and stays skinny. She is lying. You have to do a low carb diet and exercise to be able to be that skinny. People on keto have been doing this for millenia, it's not that easy don't get fooled by the attention seeker.

Being skinny at 23 is relatively easy. At least it was for me, up to 28-29. After that, it just goes downhill.

This video came out at the perfect time! I've been researching and trying intermittent fasting for around a week now and it helps me sooo much, I didn't expect to feel so good. IF it works for you then I fully recommend it, however if you're struggling with an eating disorder I personally wouldn't recommend it, at least not without the help of a professional and going through a recovery process. Stay healthy and love yourself

I only do intermittent fasting during the weekends because if I go to school without eating breakfast, my stomach will be growling loudly throughout all of my classes and it’s so embarrassing😭

Maybe she's just affraid to mess up your metabolism. Especially if you are still young it could do some harm. I'm not an expert I just think when a person is still growing up, it's no fun to change things like this so drastically if there is no special need for it. I was on diets since 15 and let me tell you, I completely ruined my guts and I will probably suffer my whole life just because my mom did not care.

Just eat 3 times a day without snacking in between. For most people that's already the equivalent of intermittent fasting coz they graze on food like they're a giraffe.

i also did notice that i was a lot less bloated when i started eating more i sometimes do intermittent fasting but not usually im 42kg and 165cm and i would say that intermittent fasting is not something you HAVE to do but it can help

You just pointed out something that was obivous but I never realized : Your metabolism will be slower if you don't eat And I always though (TW Eating Disorder) it was because I used to not eat at all when I was younger to lose weight, so it actually make me felt better and more aware of my own body I think in a way, it might help me heal.
