Also, your skin is your largest organ. Doctors know this. If all your organs require good nutrition so does your largest organ. So, when explaining it to medical professionals I tend to use logic.... All organs function better with good nutrition as well as lots of fluid. Water helps the kidneys and liver to flush our bodies of waste. Where does this waste come from? So drinking more water will help flush your body of things it needs to get rid of and this includes your skin!!! Medicine is constantly changing. Covid has increased the number of studies done on the gut and this is happening across the world. They are finding more and more links to gut health and its total body effect, including opening their eyes to things that had never been realized before. I thought this stuff was a bunch of craziness but over the past few years I keep seeing more and more testimonies and now reading research that backs up the importance of nutrition and gut health. I've read and heard over and over that good gut health, which requires a lot of water, does cure acne. Don't give up! And research gut health!

@@ThatGirlwiththeCurls how much water should we drink for acne free skin?
@ThatGirlwiththeCurls2 жыл бұрын
@@technicalsigma So my husband got me a smart water bottle that helps me keep track of how much I should drink a day. Not sure how he set it up but the app calculated that I need 44.8oz a day. I looked up how we should calculate how much water we need a day and this is the first thing that popped up for me: 1. Divide your weight in pounds by 2.2. 2. Multiply the result by the number below that applies to your age range: If you're younger than 30, multiply by 40. If you're 30-55 years old, multiply by 35. ... 3. Divide your result by 28.3. The answer is the estimated amount of water you require each day, in ounces. Hope this helps!

If you find that cutting out refined sugar doesn't help, you might want to consider doing a trial with low/no carbs. My son was a type 1 diabetic and people don't realize that your body can't tell the difference between a whole wheat bagel or a glass of KoolAid. The bagel does have fiber and it might take a bit more time to break down the complex carbs into simple sugars, but once that's done it's just sugar. With my son the KoolAid would jack his BG up within minutes. With the bagel his BG would still go up - and just as much as with the KoolAid, it just took a little longer to do it. There were a ton of things that did affect how food interacted with his BG, but none of them had a thing to do with the type of carb being tested. Incidentally, I was developing diabetes after ten years of eating a 'healthy,' carb-heavy, low-fat diet. Other than a few VERY special occasions I didn't eat refined sugar at all. As far as my body was concerned, I may as well have been eating chocolate fudge ice cream for three meals a day. Thankfully I found a doctor who understood and he set me right by switching me to keto. And that pretty much cleared up my breakouts, too.

I believe not just sugar but all carbs (grains, wheat, fruits). Carbs = sugar.
@skystygian3 жыл бұрын
@@kevinchong7991 That’s not true, carbohydrates are healthy, it just depends on the source of the carbohydrates. Low carb (keto) diets are good for some people trying to lose weight, but not necessarily everyone else. Your brain needs a certain amount of carbs to function at all. Natural sugars are healthy in moderated amounts, and fruits are full of many extremely important vitamins so it’s not the best idea to cut them out. The real issue is added processed sugar, and processed foods in general, such as refined (white) flour, which is unfortunately what makes up a large portion of the American diet. Eating whole grains, brown rice, lots of fruits and veggies, legumes, seeds, basically just things that aren’t processed, is what is healthiest.

I'm a 22 year old young man and i still have my acne scars left over from when i had severe acne at the age of 16. It completely changed me and it felt like the whole world was on top of me. I was looked at and gossiped on while passing by other students. I would cry when i would look at myself in the mirror. I am back to my normal self before my acne. But i still have my scars on my face but i look at my scars like a battle that I've been through and won. I stopped caring if other starred at me. I won't let my scars define who i am as a person. Anyone out there that's dealing with severe acne i just want to say that i know what you're dealing with. The frustration and the feeling of no hope is in the reach. There will be a bright side after it... I promise you it won't last your entire life. Yes it's hard but your much stronger than that. Keep pushing every single day. Alot of people will treat you different and push you away. If they try to come back don't let them in. You'll know once you've beat acne who was real and who was fake. YOU WILL WIN ! 🌍♥️ Anyone

Yes! Sugar is the main culprit. I'm a doctor by profession and had similar acne problem. I used to eat chips and chocolate weekly, before long it causes what I suspect sugar imbalance in my body and resulting in acne breakouts. Similarly, I never had major acne problems in my teen or younger twenty. The breakout happens in my late 20s. What I did was: 1. Cut down on refined sugar intake 2. Food such as dairy products as I am lactose intolerant (Substitute with soy product instead) 3. Reduce spicy food 4. Drink more water and sleep well In term of skincare, I use mainly just a cleanser, toner with BHA and differin. Don't forget about sunscreen! I'm so happy for your journey and we both came into the same conclusion. Never lose hope and look forward to your journey in healing your acne scars!

I could relate so much to your journey- I also had acne-free teens but started getting them in my 20s. For me, doxycycline and Epiduo worked for 3 months then those big cystic acne started again. I was barely controlling them with Keeva for 7ish months. But suddenly within one week, it got so bad that I didn't had a single spot left on my face without those zits. I used to go to work like that, and strangers on way used to comment on how I should take care of it. After that, 3 different dermatologists suggested Accutane - saying there was no other way out. I hated the idea of Accutane, those side effects scared me big time. Finally, on the suggestions of a gynecologist and a homeopathic, I stopped taking Dairy, Chocolate, and Canola oil. It is still not perfect but it is way better without any special tropicals. I think I should start drinking water, thank you for sharing. I am also big-time lazy with that, I better start drinking lots.

But after having birth control pills for maybe 3 years in later years, and then quitting them, the acne I started to have were giant. Only becoming pregnant stopped those. But the scars it made within a year.. I go see costemotologist now for a year, and did microneedling first, but now up to laser. It really helps. But takes alot of time and of course money. I want to try microneedling my back though where the scars arent as deep as on my face. I found your videos really clear, honest, your have right attitude (not fast taking off and fast quitting) but maintaining all the routines steadily. I have acne but not severe because I am actually a teenager and this video really has helped me. My mom used to give me adivices that I should put alovera and remedys on my skin but none of them worked and I also tried tea tree oil and it also didn't work so then atlast my mom took me to the dermatologist and the dermatologist suggested me to put a cream. So i have been using that cream and it has helped alot and yes she also told me to drink alot of water and it has also helped alot. The dermatologist also suggested me to take care of my diet and not eat sugary foods because they produce heat in the body, so she told me to have less sugar and suggested me to have foods that are not hot like sugar and again this has helped alot to.

If you have serious Acne, get on Accutane. Prevent permanent scarring. I dont mean to be rude, but severe scarring can be avoided by not being afraid of a drug that can have serious side affects, because those side affects are very rare, and the benefit/risk payoff is well worth it. By the time someone clears their severe acne through natural mean, the permanent damage will be done. I went on one 4 month course of it, and It got rid of my acne problem, no need to go on a 5 year journey.

I thought i was in the clear with my acne (no pun intended) after going on accutane twice, but 2020 brought it back worse than ever. I know my diet could be better but i already drink so much water. Im going to try to drink even more and try the less sugar part too (god knows my sugar intake is probably insane). I really do not want to go on accutane again but i cannot control my stress or my acne anymore so i may have to do it a 3rd time if the diet stuff doesnt help. It sucks how everyones skin is so different, finding the right product or method is like dating, it takes forever to find the right one. That Girl with the Curls ? There are 4 more things to look out for and you can do when it comes to acne. 1. in some people a hair product may cause acne. 2. Change your pillow case every day and if you keep breaking out, change the washing detergent you use on your sheets pillow case etc. 3. TRY SLEEPING ON YOUR BACK AND NOT ON YOUR ACNE BECAUSE ACNE MAY POP ON YOUR PILLOW AND CAUSE ACNE SCARRING ETC. 4. Take two Advil tablets at night before you go to bed as directed on bottle to help stop acne pain.

I relate to the water thing so much haha. I had bad acne for a year where everyone other person would give me some different advice about what I should do, use warm water, apple cider vinegar, anti bactrin etc etc. But one day one guy asked if I was drinking enough water. Usually I hated when people gave out unwanted advice but this guy was actually right lol. I just tried it out once and it worked, and then i thought wait all i had to do was drink more water? this whole time, what was fucking me up so much, had a solution just lying in my house??? 😂😂🤦♂️🤦♂️ i felt so stupid but grateful afterward haha. Now I start feeling paranoid whenever my urine isnt clear haha. But hearing other people, i'm also grateful my bad acne period only lasted a year 😱

I swearrrr whenever my pee isn’t clear I’m like Oop I need water & drink like two bottles of water (not like chugging cuz then I’ll throw up but you know) cuz I had really bad acne around my lip line (People would make fun of me & say I had herpes & stuff like that so I like tried to hide my lips). Needless to say I found I was drinking too much soda & wearing too much carmex & lipgloss. Those have a lot of oil & stopped all that now all I do it’s cleanse & moisturize here and there because for some reason if I wash my face too much I break out more

Great video. I've first saw one of your older videos and then immediately thought: okay, how did she cure it? From my experience, most of the problems about the body is related to nutrition, so I am glad your case also confirmed my thoughts. I remember I saw "lecture" about Ayuverda (I think) and body cleansing which stated that the body most commonly starts having problems in two scenarios: malnutrition and overnutrition. Malnutrition is most of the times easy to fix - you just get the right nutrients and your body get back on track. Overnutrition on the other hand is much harder to fix and it usually leads to chronic diseases and stuff. If you get some nutrient or chemical or anything else daily, for months, your body does not have the time to remove it and it usually get really complicated. They do advice specific cleansing procedures (which are mostly related to your guts). But what I understand personally, if you have some problems for a long time, I suspect its because you get some specific "ingredients" in your body often/daily and your body is just not able to clear it. So fasting or trying to find the specific ingredient which causes it is the number one advice from me.

I was breaking out with acne even into my early forties, then I changed my diet, cut out sugar and wheat and refined carbohydrates, now in my late forties my skin is clear. I don't know why these doctors say sugar is not related to Acne , when it is the cause of insulin resistance that cause hormone problems leading to acne and hairfall
