Ok so I have 09 and having this issue i took it the dealership and they said the part wasn’t available for this year and even after trying to order it from the site you gave still says not available with my VIN any option to go around this??

@@artysmotorsports yes found it, it's called fuel tube right ? Lmfao sorry I'm a noob just trying to save money fixing my rig they have it for 112$. My check engine light has been on for a while and says check gas cap. I already replaced and still does not go away. So I plug my ob2 II and got code P0456 small leak check fuel cap,piping, etc. So I stumbled upon your video and I'm really hoping this fixes the issue.

Did you have bad gas mileage when it was leaving

Mileage wasn't much different but it'd leak when pumping gas because it didn't know when to stop the pump

Contact your local dealership. I think it was a recall on some models if not they may be able to source the part for you

It is a lifetime warranty fix at the dealership. They will fix it for free. I work at a dealership and just did mine. The extended warranty expires on December 31, 9999. Yes, 9999.

I bought it used and had the same issue. Brought it to the dealer and they ran the VIN and saw I didn't have it done yet so they fixed it.

Part is now obsolete.. Anyone here got good ideas on a modded fix up from maybe a different year or model jeep? Or maybe even a different manufacturer? A tube is a tube as long as the diameters work

@@artysmotorsports ebay doesn't have it and I don't particularly like ebay. Apparently there is a gm house that fixes this issue that I found on a jeep forum. I'm waiting on a response from my local gm parts store on this hose. Lots of positive feedback on the gm hose for a solid fix.

@@nickg5275 I didn’t :-( My fix has been to roll my window down and watch my gauge while filling up. When it passes 3/4 i only squeeze the handle about 1/4 of the way till full. That’s worked for me so far. Sorry i don’t have better news :-( What a shame Jeep doesn’t offer anything whatsoever for this issue..

the check valve is in your tank, not the tube. its stuck in the down position is your problem. so now you have two check valves. when the tank one gets unstuck and you stop fulling it is going to cause problems

My issue was fixed when I replaced the tube... Could that valve be a different issue ?
