I've been stuck in the 14-15 seconds average range for the longest time now and the difficulties you mentioned about struggling to keep track of the first pair after cross is so relatable to me, in some worst cases i can't even keep track of the fourth cross piece properly, so yes, i know cross to f2l transition is exactly what's holding me back at the moment, and i can already see how this video is gonna be helpful for me
@narendrakujur56024 жыл бұрын
Yeah i totally agree. I average around 11-12 sec. I struggle quite a lot in cross to f2l transition. If only i could just be able to have a pauseless cross to f2l transition then i might average quite lower maybe sub 10

I'm the same way, i can't track an f2l pair, but can locate a corner while solving the cross. I need better recognition if the edge doesn't show up at the end of cross. Glad to see someone saying that it's not necessary to do what others are doing. 👍🏼

I LOVE this video and your new style of videos. Short and sweet, full of information, and doesn’t waste any time. I average 12.5 and my cross to f2l has always been garbo and I really really related to the sentiments expressed here. I’m trying this starting today!

I kept struggling with F2L since I got into speedcubing, of course, I got better, but I then I got to a point a month ago, that I can't see progress, I'll definitely try this to see if I can drop my 22avg, thanks for the video, and keep up the good work!

Hey, just wanted to say it makes a lot of sense to go with pair by finding corners first instead of focusing too much on edges like I'm doing, because if we hold the cube cross solved without looking at the back there are 3 edges stickers we can't see, but 8 corners stickers! I never realized this. Before I would have my edge and try to find the matching corner, but this is much harder this way, looking at corners and then finding the corresponding edge is much easier! Also one more thing is that by doing this your are tracking corner during f2l, which mean once you find the edge you can just solve the pair, but what I was doing was mainly looking at edges and EO and when I found the corner I had to process the case + corner in slot edge on top are usually worse than edge in slot corner on top. Anyway very good point of view, thanks for sharing!

I literally have the same prooblem as you, with the same times. Been stuck at 13s for a while, and everytime I get a nice Ctf2l transition, even on a bad solve i get 10-12. I always retreat to planning only cross because its easy, so this video is something I really need

I think the biggest reason most of us (at least for myself) don’t improve is we hate to admit our real issues and commit to training, like not planning cross to f2l optimally, not knowing efficient regripless algorithms for f2l cases from different angles, or bad finger tricks. Things like these we hold onto thinking if we could just increase our tps we could get that pr. But in reality, if you start to enjoy the process of learning new things you’ll watch your time go down way faster than you thought. This is coming from someone who averages 22+ a month ago and I’ve done specific training for problem areas and now average around 17 seconds. My goal is to one day have a sub 10 ao5

@alexshih37474 жыл бұрын
I think the conventional wisdom of tracking first pair during inspection is meant more for people with some degree of color-neutrality. Being able to choose a simpler cross solution makes planning first pair during inspection a lot easier.
@narendrakujur56024 жыл бұрын
Its not true you don't have to be colour neutral to be able to predict first pair. I think dual colour neutrality is better. That is if you have a bad cross solution on white then just do the yellow cross which maybe be easy

Uhhhhh nice debate
@CGFilms0272 жыл бұрын
@@narendrakujur5602 nah what he is saying is that while it is possible with just one/dual colors, it is better paired with color neutrality because an easier cross will have less moves or be more efficient, therefore making tracking first pair easier. it just makes the whole process easier

Wait .. Let me tell u A Corner is easy to track but difficult to plan ...but A Edge is easy to plan and track.. Here is my explanation .. Corners have only 8 places to go around a cube but ..the problem comes when you ask what is it's orientation of it So they are easy to track while solving ( only it's position). But I recommend do not doing that . On the other hand edges are easy to plan as u only need to memorize just one colour of it to know about its orientation ,while a corner requires the cross colour and any other colour..
