This is it. Generation 9. The FINAL chapter to complete a full Pokemon Home Living Dex! This has been quite the journey. Thank you to everyone who has been joining me to complete this insane challenge! but without further adieu, this is how I got a FULL GEN 9 LIVING DEX using POKEBALLS ONLY!

It is finally done, the cut off for the shiny living dex part was funny, I can't wait to see what is next in store for the channel. Watching all the living dex streams has been a journey and I am glad I was here for it

11:13 "Shinies are not that exciting to find in this game", he says, while I lose my mind trying to shiny hunt shiny Gastly for weeks because I want a personality marked shiny Gengar 😅 Also, yes, I know it's a CRAP shiny, but I love Gengar, and hey! He'll be a shiny mega Gengar someday! Btw, hopefully the mark challenge goes well! I have also been working on a mark collection until I find all marks on shinies.

We've really come a long way, I've been with this series since episode 1. It"s kinda sad that it's gonna be over for now, but I'm happy we made it here, here's to more generations of living dexes! (And hoping that some of these events get preserved in some way at all) also, i'm sorry gen 9 fans, but none of the new mons don't even look like pokemon to me.

Its possible to get a roaming form Gimmighoul in Pokémon Go so you should totally go for that!

Unfortunately I don’t have colosseum and you have to purify them to be able to send them up into home so imo it would be pretty redundant. I do however have a few Pokémon that were from XD that are in my home!

Congrats! So, i finsihed my Origin Living Dex awhile ago but am still slowly but surely working on my Living Shiny Dex. I realized after looking into the shiny dex that I have a shiny originating from every generation of games except Gen1. So, i have periodically been doing hunts for static and fishing encounters to try and get one that can roll with the correct DVs to be shiny when traded to Gen2/sent to Bank. Very tedious, but it is the only gen I dont have a shiny from, kinda goes without saying. Lol

Good luck! I did a Gen 1 shiny hunt before for dratini in the game corner! I got it super fast after only about 800 but it was a cool hunt to do!

​@ThedomiNATION I have most of the pokemon from Gen 1 (caught in other games, obviously) shiny already so I am kinda looking for something I don't already have. So I am sitting at a Legendary Bird (they are shiny from GO) or Krabby.

@@PwnyOps I’d definitely recommend a legendary bird! The fishing encounters can be super tedious in gen 1 but legendary resets are a lot more consistent!

​@@ThedomiNATIONyeah, I keep switching back and forth between the versions. Going for Zapdos because he has a horrible shiny that you can barely tell and in Gen1 you can't tell anyway so I felt it only right xD So, I mentioned in one of your past videos about my Future Proof Origin Dex for any pokemon that may get future evos like primate and Girafarig got this Gen. Will you be doing anything like that in case they shut down the ability to transfer from Bank suddenly/before one of those comes to fruition? Like I said, I made sure to grab an additional 2 male and 2 female of basically everything. I went kinda very overkill with it. So gens 1-4 of my backup dex are in my BD save instead of taking up space in HOME and then gens 5-7 are just sitting in boxes at the end in HOME. Likely won't need the vast majority of them. But, wouldn't feel right if I didn't have them and missed out on the origin part later. Also, it is a crime that gen3-5 don't have origin marks. I wish they could retroactively give them marks for their respective gens.

@@PwnyOps I do not plan to do that as it would be a bit ridiculous to catch every Pokémon an additional time for the off chance they may add a new evolution. I’m just gonna hope they don’t shut bank down anytime soon or have alternatives. (I’m sure there will be a fan server set up to keep bank running if they do shut it down in the future)

Wow I must have gotten super lucky with my Koraidon because I chucked a Pokeball at it at full health just for a laugh and it critical captured 😮

I just got super unlucky with it! The craziest thing I had happen though was I caught Rayquaza after only 2 pokeballs!

I started this in gen 3, so I have gen 1-3 Pokémon, living dex for gen 3 was brutal 😵‍💫

They actually sell a physical version of the games with the dlc unlocked, you straight up could have taken your switch to game stop, bought that version, unlocked the dlc and then returned it immediately

I do not plan to hatch for the shiny vivillons. I also had someone else trade me scatterbug eggs in order for me to be able to complete the patterns in the first place

And I don’t know anyone that would have eggs to send over to me for my gen 6 section. But I have a bit to figure it out. Just got to victory road in black 1. Got a couple more games to go before I have to worry about XY.

@@jnzooger unfortunately breeding the other patterns doesn’t pass the pattern down. It’s still based on the region your 3DS is sent to. So even if I bred for them you would only be getting polar ones from me
