I am literally on Phase 8 for the Pokemon Mansion Vulpix right now (with a repel trick going to remove rattata and koffing)! Over 51k encounters done, phases so far are: Raticate, Muk, Ditto, Muk, Raticate, Raticate, Raticate. Congrats on all your finds, this is a really cool place to hunt!

@@brandonhansen1126 it’s essentially when you get a shiny. Most people use the term when getting a shiny they weren’t going for. Like when I get a shiny raticate, that’s a phase for koffing!

This video awoke an old memory of mine. I started playing Pokemon in Gen 3. For some reason, I believed you could only get one shiny per save file until Gen 5. Genuinely have no idea where I got this idea from. Did anyone else get told this back during the Gen 2/3 days?

I never was told that but it no one ever really had more than one shiny back then. Except for my one friend. On the bus to and from school, I watched him get a shiny zubat TWO DAYS IN A ROW! He was the only one who I had known had more than one shiny at the time and he ended up giving me one of the zubat Becuase he said he didn’t need 2 of them!

I have bought my copies on eBay. Usually Japanese copies are cheap and not bootlegs but tbh there is never a “trusted source” for these. I would recommend looking up how to tell a reproduction copy from an authentic then pay attention when buying them!

I got bulbasaur, charmander, and mew; currently hunting squirtle. Have celebi set up and ready to hunt, and I might just have to give up on gen two starters depending on what they say in April.

@@joel198d 18k is pretty rough, but I think you will be able to get it. I’m hunting squirtle rn without the rare candy glitch but think it should still be doable. And bank doesn’t close in April, just potentially soon after.
