Thanks for all those updates, it's great to see you taking actions and evolving! In terms of thinking about your work at the gym or in general outside of your working hours, I actually think that's quite a normal thing to do for a lot of jobs, but also a personaly preference/style. I just got my first "proper" job, as a data engineer, and it is actually quite common for me to think of ideas of bug fixes, or generally the next direction I could take to resolve issues the next time I work. I wouldn't count those as working hours since I'm doing other things at the same time, and it's my decision to think about it. I could put myself in the mindset of not caring, and never thinking of work outside of my working hours, but personally that would crush my motivation and enthusiasm in what I'm doing.

have you considered jobs in cancer biology? would you like to do a cancer biology field related job in future? what about "big data"/statistical jobs, for example data analyst, data scientist ?

how time flies.The first time i came to your videos in Cambridge was when i was in junior high via other platform.4 or 5 years ago.Honestly you are my favorite study vlogger at that time.Right now Im a freshman in my dream uni and get access to youtube and find you choose to be a freelancer.really surprised😲but proud of you as you are aware of what you need indeed😄wish everything goes well with your new career🌹

academia is never 5 to 9 (long overtime), and the pay is not too good (UK)

people go into academia as they have a passion usually for research in specific subject and thats not true, often academics work 9 - 5 my supervisor works only those hours sometimes obviously she will be required to mark papers etc outside of those hours@@japoemka and her salary is quite good also she earns alot from her contribution to research

I think those G&x mk 2s start to die a death after a while... mine stared to zoom in randomly by itself after a while and couldn't hold focus. I think the white balance might have deteriorated after a while too. Not sure about that as I might have just got more discerning.

agree, when i think about my experiments outiside my working hours i am not being paid. i wish haha id be rich
