Sorry for the long video. But just a look at how I got where I am. I tend to ramble and get distracted easy 😂

One of my favorite quotes. You hit the nail on the head. Press On “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.” U.S. President Calvin Coolidge.

💖 ~ Thank You, James, for your nonchalant honesty. You're an angel on earth for animals & animal-luvvving people. You're such a philosophical deep thinker. You remind me of Emerson & Thoreau. No doubt, you've just inspired thousands of kids to become zoo keepers by paying their dues volunteering their hearts out 1st - & without grumbling about it. I don't ever want to hear you apologize for rambling, dude. Ramble to your heart's content!!! This exactly. I was born & raised in zoos & wildlife rehab. Especially big cats, reptiles & gators. I also grew up with a pet raccoon. I miss being around animals so much. Things happened in my personal life so I haven't been able to get back to that but I plan to soon. Animals are my absolute passion & I have never been happier than when I worked with them.

Love is always first when considering work like this,My family always had quite a bit of animals,Horses, dogs turkeys, many rabbits, cats, and ducks. The chore time, is really saving lives. Every animal is a 🌟 Many have different needs.and their eating appetite is important to keep watch on how they’re adjusted to what they’re fed, very important. And they’re safety, and quality of life, as they all crave contact❤And their veterinary services better be damn good, being very careful to have good ones who have good practices, not some who just are in it for money, yes good business practices deserve good pay, but they better give quality service that’s dependable. Thanks for you sharing your long but worth it journey to be connected to these stars ⭐️ And you are the animals king ❤

Great video. I too always wanted to work with wildlife and rehabilitate it. I've been responsible for rescued animals for years now and that has hindered my capacity to travel and volunteer but it's always been a dream of mine. I am still trying to figure out where I want to do it, because I want to settle somewhere and run a rehabilitation project also working on reversing human-made desertification. So I understand I want to work close to mountains and woods, but where exactly is still up to debate. I am from Europe and so the EU its easier for me to move around and settle than the US but the species available naturally are important to help determine the right place for me. For now I am going to get the driver's license and a car because when you end up being responsible for non-wild animals you've rescued and still want to learn and work with centers and study, you gotta have wheels. I find your passion for wild animals very inspiring and relatable and you're right, teachers aren't always right. Especially when you have a dream and you want to create your own path!

Nice to hear your back story and hear you attained this through hard work, although university isn’t a part of your story. There are many different routes worth taking toward becoming educated. Also, we need to weigh our options; which is more important? Making tons of money? Or spend your days doing something you love. In my opinion, we may not always have everything we want, but as long as we have everything we need, really that’s the most important. We spend 2/3 of our day in school until we we’re 18-25 and then we spend 2/3 of our days working. I’d say better do something you absolutely love because even if you had all the money in the world, most of us work so much we have no time to enjoy the stuff we would spend the money on. Choose wisely my friends. Wise words spoken, James
