I am a native Nashville resident and a drummer. Gotta say that you are absolutely correct. Back in the day we had an amusement park called opryland and we had live bands all over the park. I was 10 years old when I heard this advice from a session guy. Nashville is way over saturated with musicians. You have to network. You need to learn as much as possible. I gave up the dream, went to college for computer science. Was amazing because half the people were in my same situation. Glad you are here and following your dreams girl. Keep going. Ignore the snobby attitude of other people. Most importantly, have fun.

You are making it! You play great, you have a good ear, you can play other stuff than country, you sing, and most important of all, you put your whole self into the song, I can see it! You rock. And thats coming from an old guy who has been playing for years.

Thank you SO much for sharing the country playlist. I have my first broadway gig in a few days and was curious about all the other Broadway tunes outside of the setlist I've been working on. Gonna try to get more shows downtown in the new year also. Thanks for breaking it all down!

Great info! Wish I would have made a move like you did back in the day. Bassist/ musician of 40 plus years here. I'm still playing and giging as much as I can with no intentions of stopping. Thanks for the video. Inspiring!

Hi Molly. I’m Djay, and I’m also a drummer. This information is very helpful! And thank you! I made my plans to visit Nashville in August to also make connections with other musicians in the industry. So I appreciate what you told me about your experience!

Just found your channel last night and your hard work ethic and drive stood out immediately! Cool how you mentioned Rich Redmond too because your charisma and energy on the kit actually reminded me of him. I’m excited to see where your journey progresses from here!

Thank you Molly. That was extremely interesting. I wish more of my favorite drummers would tell their story about how they got started as well. And more importantly...how you guys were able to get in the game. Thank you.

Your timing is amazing! I’m a drummer moving to Nashville January 12, and I’m trying to find a playlist for the area. Thank you posting this! Your videos have really helped to get some insight on Nashville! Dumb question: how do I access the link in the comments for the playlist?

Do a tour of Broadway! It looks like Beale St. in Memphis on steroids. Determination and consistency is the key. You're 100% right.
