You practically had me in tears when you started with the Bible verses about God caring about our hair. God's Word is the truth. The rock and it does not move. Trends will come and go, but God's Word never changes or fails. I too want to grow my hair and am watching everything and learning about porosity, etc. My daughter has curly hair... there's a lot to know. Xo

I was almost waist length and like a dummy I went to get my hair straightened for the first time in 6 years. The girl butchered my hair so bad during the process and I was silent. My hair was so thin and damaged afterwards I had to cut at least 6 inches off over the year following this. I was back to APL 😩. Now at 8 years natural I’m working on the health of my hair again and not focusing on length so much because I know length comes with health and patience. Your hair is gorgeous sis.

@@edeneden3449 oh, okay, well when I was transitioning I never use do it so idk what'll happen jus ensure that ur hair is properly detangled before u do it. I think the twists r going to unravel when water touch it or when u start washing it so if that happens jus try doing it section by section insteading of washing them all together in the twists/loose braids. U can also do a second detangle when you're putting conditioner or deep conditioner in our hair. That's wat I do and jus be patient with it.

You are so right about the stylist. I have natural hair. I went to to a hair stylist years ago and my regular stylist was on maternity leave so I had another stylist. When braiding the hair they want to group up using 2 people. I was not for that because I am very tender scalp.. well the one stylist was pulling and tugging my hair when I told her to not do that her response was you have too much hair using a tiny comb I took that very personal because as far as I’m concerned they only want to do the outcome of the hairstyle and they don’t care about the damage they cause. When I took the hair out the middle of my hair was severely broken off..😡 I was so angry I went back to see if my regular stylist returned she never came back from maternity leave. That was the last time I visited a stylist. I do my own hair Only now my hair was able to catch up with the other hair but not completely. Lesson learned

"If they start brushing your hair and it hurts, just start crying." 😳 When one truly doesn't have a voice... I feel so many emotions all at once, but there are no right words for each one. I feel speechless, but... only enough not to count as speechless, because I can say that I am speechless and I can go into vivid detail of the speechlessness. All of the emotions I felt when you said "...start crying" felt like a hurricane. A silent hurricane that I could never vocalize no matter how hard I try. I can't bring myself to write or physically speak the words. I feel trapped.

@Nik hi, In my videos I recommend applying treatment biweekly. I do understand people have sensitive scalp and can’t go weeks without washing their hair etc. But I always do recommend leaving your hair alone whenever you can but also if it needs treatment or moisturizing, then you have to moisturize. I usually keep my hair in twists so it’s easy to undo and moisturize it without tampering with it too much but in a case where I have braids, I Can only moisturize my roots and then when I take it out after a month or two, I will deep condition biweekly because my hair had gone so long without treatment. Hope this helps

Thanks so much for these hair tips...tip#6 is too funny😂😂🙂... the tip about praying for your hair I can testify that it works...about 6 years ago our daughter got really sick with a viral infection as a result she begin to lose hair. She was completely bald in her entire crown area. The dr had on her antibiotics as well as prescription shampoo...once she was done with the medications her hair was still completely bald in that area. 😥 In faith applied oil to her scalp and begin to pray that her hair would be restored. I did this at least once a week. Eventually her hair begin to regrow. Within about 3 or 4 months that area had filled in and has been steadily growing since that time. Now her hair is healthy and super long. I can only contribute her hair growth to the prayers in faith and the Lord answered 🙏🙏🙂

Wonderful! Great tips! I have an amazing hair regimen that is growing the hell out of my hair!! It is shocking how fast it's growing, fasted than it ever has. I use a neem oil based hair butter, a honey and hisbicus based leave in conditioner, an oil blend I made with olive oil and tea tree in it. I also get a deep scalp conditioning treatment with deep massage done by a licensed stylist every other month. I get my hair professionally shampooed. Once a month I do an acv and baking soda and water scalp scrub.

I just subscribed to your blog. OMG your hair is beautiful and natural. When I was a little girl my mom cared for my hair it was on my shoulders half way down my back. Now as adult my hair is damaged from trying different things...instead of leaving it natural as a child...I put a relaxer in it and now I'm trying to grow it back. Wish I never touched it 😪 I messed up my beautiful hair myself. I love how you put scriptures to our hair...glory to God and his word is true. I love your energy and your spiritually and how you put God into all you say about your hair. That's a blessing. Can I order your products? Tell me how to buy them and I will. My hair is in braids right now but after I take them out, I'm going back to my natural color which is salt/pepper and it's kinda short/thin type...I'm believing and trusting that God will hear my prayers and grow my hair back to its healthy, think and shiny as it was when I was a little girl. That's my prayer and I'm standing on the word believing it shall and is done. Thank you WOG! YOU'RE ARE A BEAUTIFUL BLESSED SISTA! 👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾❤🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

I’m going to give you some advice that helped me to reach waist length. Having a consistent routine was a key practice in growing my hair long but with that being said simplicity in the products i used was also a factor. For me? It was water and whipped shea butter on my hair and scalp. I would twist or braid it and then leave it alone. Try to avoid wearing your hair out more often then you need to. For me that was maybe one every two weeks. And that was really only to just let my hair breath. Definitely experiment with natural treatments to see what strengthens your hair best and have fun with it. You will get there!
