As a doctor, I agree with focusing on gut health mainly through improving diet by eating fibre rich food ( vegetables, fruits, beans, lentils, fermented food and whole grains ). I have to say it’s very important to anyone watching to make a medical visit if there’s ever blood in stool. It’s a huge red flag for us . And for our demographic of black folk, we often show up to hospital later and with more advanced disease than non black folk.

Is protein really that big of a deal or overrated? I can eat all the things you mentioned until I add protein of just about any kind (animal, processed protein powder/ collagen powder, soy, dairy, etc), then GI issues flare up and things fall apart with digestion. Legumes and lentils is not that much but some. Thanks!

save it, been to the doctor multiple times for blood in stool and they told me I was fine. 😞 doctors are absolutely no help. they tell u if you dont have diarrhea, go home. and if u get some type of -oscopy, as long as you dont have colon cancer you're fine. so sick of paying doctors for absolutely NOTHING. NO concern, advice, care or treatment. not even information. we are forced to learn from KZbin and google to take care of and diagnose ourselves.

I have it all- the bloating, gas, sometimes diarrhea, stomach pains, acne, and skin issues. I started eating Whole30 this year. It has made a world of a difference. Some of us simply can’t eat the Standard American Diet, and that’s okay! I have combined fasting with eating Whole30, and I have never felt better. It eliminates foods that cause me gas, and the fasting gives my digestive system time to recover and properly digest food.

I get the Zenwise brand on Amazon ✨Gelatin is another gut healing product. I went to the jello aisle at the grocery store and they have plain boxes of it. I add it to my hot chocolate or miso soup a few days a week. You can also make gelatin gummies but I haven’t tried it yet ✨veggies! I keep carrots, celery and cucumber on hand at all times and snack on them in the afternoons ✨Prunes every couple of days ✨Rotating supplements like biocidin, black seed oil, coconut oil, apple cider vinegar seem to help

I've been on a gut health journey for several years now. I went 100% gluten-free in 2014 and sporadically went grain-free following Whole30 or GAPS protocols. I was mainly DIYing it (drinking bone broth, collagen, various liquid probiotics, fermented foods, celery juice, etc.) until last year when I finally worked with a naturopath doc and she had stool testing done. HOMEMADE GELATINOUS BONE BROTH! it’s easy to make and tastes much better than store bought! and it’s real natural collagen! Instead of the processed stuff that probably has other terrible ingredients!

This video is absolute perfection. Thank you for sharing your supplements. Also, I’ve been very scared to get a colonic cleanse; however, your video is making me reconsider since I am near a Clean Start location.

So i started drinking glutamine with my morning water about 4 months ago when I first watched this video. Lemme tell you wow I’m so gassy like in the flatulence way lol. I researched and found that that is healthy when you have good gut health so I say it works. Also good diet has helped. Thanks for the tips it worked for me 🌹

Your symptoms sound like a form of IBS, particularly with the painful extended belly. I was able to fix mine by eating a little fermented food with every meal. Never had issues again.

Funny you should say that, my sister on my dad's side and I are in touch after 30 years found out we both had reflux hers worst she said she healed hers in her 20s from Fruits Melon and cantaloupe after every meal and it's just never so I am about to try as well. Thanks for your comment

I was bleeding for over five years and finally went to the doctor for a colonoscopy before I turned 26 years old. I had four polyps and two of them were the cause of the bleeding. Thankfully none of them were cancerous but at the end of the day now when I see blood when there shouldn't be any blood I go straight to the doctor.

Very interesting. However, I would suggest to consult a Doctor to know what is the problem before taking any supplements. Blood in stool should be always tested. Glutamine should not be taken everyday, do your research. There are negative impacts.

Whether you're a meat or vege focused eater as far as the stomach aching is concerned, thoroughly cleaning your food before cooking it helps. Something as simple as soaking your meat in apple cider vinegar before hand, then rinsing can make a big difference.

Intermittent fasting helps too! Try to give your digestive tract time to actually rest and repair. I had poor gut health for 10+ years. IF has been the only thing that allows the vitamins supplements and detoxes to actually help me

I think for me eating more vegetables has helped me fill my plate so I miss the carbs less Definitely more fermented foods If I want bread i really make it a point to only get sourdough for the house And if not it’s a cheat meal
