You finally helped me understand what was bothering me with the bullet journal system! It's focused on planning the future when I am looking for a system to keep track of what happened and when. Thanks for that.

I have been using your method for the third month. The first page is generally similar, but instead of marking habits, I note activities related to my main directions. At the bottom of the page, there's a summary for the month. The second page outlines the main goals for the month. Then comes a list of to-do tasks that fills the entire page and its back. On the fourth page, there's a short list of the top 3-4 tasks for each day. All ideas are recorded by date in a different color. If the task list fills the entire page, I transfer unfinished tasks and new tasks forward, and then the daily planner continues. At the end of the month, the old pages are fastened with a clip so that the notebook opens directly to the beginning of the current month.

Thanks for showing your template I'm definitely gonna use it, I also use a different journal solely for "dumping" just getting everything unto the page for a certain amount of time, so it's nice to have a structured journal to track your life. Way better than all my different notes on my phone tracking different things lol

I have to say... Tracking what you accomplished rather than planning for the future is a pretty good way of getting yourself aligned. We can get motivated and properly plan for future to-dos this way. Also, aside from the advice here, I'm thinking you should change the way you have the camera angled in your videos. It's like I'm looking from a slightly higher position at you. If you move your head a little bit up, your video composition would be even better! Food for thought! 😅

Hi Reysu! I'm going to implement your system. I've been journaling for about two years since a break up and it's helped me move past it and keep moving forward. It's game changing. So, if I'm doing it right, I can just add two monthly pages of trackers and in between I can add regular journal entries documenting how I feel, problems I'm trying to solve, etc? Thank you!

Idk if this should be helpful for you, but there are times where writing something down on paper feels more tedious, but “talking” it out would be more effective…so I take a walk outside and put on my headphones and record myself talking through my situation with myself. I ask myself questions, and force myself to answer truthfully (then I delete the recording!!! Hahaha) it has helped me reallllly work through some stuff. By the time I’m done walking, I usually have a new insight or approach. Thennn I go into my journal, write out the highlights and my new insights/action steps, etc.

What do you think on journaling using a tablet instead of a journal. Im asking since my biggest fear is to lose the journals or to forget them somewhere and consequently lose all my tracking and all ghe thoughs that were meticulously accumulated during a fixed time span
@bellachadwitch21086 ай бұрын
Suggestion for an alternative to digital journaling if you turn out to not liking it: writing in smaller and thinner journals, for example pocket sized ones. They fill up quicker, that way IF you end up losing it, you don't lose as much.

This is nothing different than the bullet journal method. Also, the actual bujo method is to track your present and not the future, so I guess you don't understand the bujo method completely. Your system is just a more individual version of the bujo, which is pretty much the point of having a bullet journal and not a pre planned journal. So, i don't see how your method is different from the bujo method.
@reysuАй бұрын
Bujo is a productivity method, his method is all about planning, todos, events, this is a journal where I write entries in here and I write down highlights i.e. stuff I want to remember for additional context like a scientific journal. My monthly page is about 24 pages in a 250 page journal.

I think it's surprising you'd consider 'drinking caffeine' as a good habit you'd want to track... Isn't caffeine actually detrimental to your health and sleep? 🤨🤔 Genuine question as to why you do it, not trolling... This time. 😅🤪
@reysu6 ай бұрын
I track both good habits and bad habits. In this instance I'm just tracking my caffeine usage via this method. That way at a glance I can see how often I was drinking coffee and so I can take periodic breaks. For a while I also tracked alcohol as a habit in that column so that I could make sure I wasn't drinking more than 1x per week.
