hello chuck, could you please explain your process of upwelling a consistent customer for a job like mulching beds, how do you bring that up to them without sounding desperate or greedy? I appreciate all you do, let’s get after it!

Not that my 2 cents is worth anything but I started to reach out about mulch at the start of the season ask everyone and say your scheduling cleanups/ mulch projects with existing customers at the moment so u know how much u can take on I have about 70 lawns and everyone’s knows don’t last Minuit me with 10 yards of. Mulch or a p wash just get on the schedual and shit turns to clock work

You’re not being desperate by telling them you recommendations to the property. It’s like doing to the doctor for a check up and they tell you something you need to be doing. Or taking your truck for a oil change an they point out that you have bad tires….

Hey Mike. I’ve done mowing since I was 14 mowing about 10 yards a week. My plan was to go full time when I graduated high school and mow 40-50 yards a week. The time came and I graduated last year, this year was supposed to be my year, Well I was offered a job at a very good place to work and I couldn’t turn it down. I decided to keep mowing and I have about 20 mowing customers right now. I want to gain more but don’t know if I can take it on by myself. At what point should I try to hire somebody that weed eat and eventually do my mowing routes for me?

If sounds like your still pretty young and probably don’t have many responsibilities. If that’s true and you wanna own your own business and enjoy the lawn care business you should quit that job right now and put everything into it right now. You have nothing to loose and there will always be good jobs out there if it doesn’t work

If you got a little brother or cousin that you trust and could teach.. I never did much mowing but I’ve done so many concrete jobs I texted my customers and started a route this year I let my cousin run since I’m more interested in bigger concrete projects but it’s just good for cash flow and he can make some good $$

So y’all typically run 2 guys per truck . Over here in San Antonio, from what I’ve seen and worked in , most companies have a trailer & a 4 door truck and will run with 3 to 5 employees. I have seen some crews with y’all’s set up & I spoke with one the other year and he was an independent businessman. I spoke to him about the custom ramp for the 36” stand on mower & those racks . Efficiency is what y’all are running with less moving parts vs a trailer and extra employees. Cool on CRUSHING IT !

How often do you mow? being "biweekly" is $30/wk, is it every week? so $30 a mow? Or $60 a mow, every 2 weeks? ~ why would ANYONE do weekly? and have a weekly payment? I dont understand, that a pain in the ass, and just missleading IMO

$176 is not your acquisition cost. Your a regional manager with probably 60-100 employees under you. You should be working on adding better value to the business. At your level you should be working on things that bring $1000+ an hour. Your loosing money by doing this job instead of paying some kid or a lower tear employee.

Maybe in the short term but in the long run, this video could sell 2-3 franchises… each worth hundreds of thousands to the company. Media and software are more scalable than time. Also, this video helps our franchisees at Augusta Nation see the systems in action… also invaluable for the org

I spend 1 hour every morning doing door hangers and I get at least 1 customer per 100 hangers. I spent $400 a month last year on Google and now they get nothing. If you’re starting out, this is the best bang for your buck! And if you move fast, you can do 150 in an hour.
