How I Plan & Set Goals For My Small Business

Let's face it, you have to set a goal to know if you're making it, right? For the first few years of my first small business I wasn't diligent about setting goals for me to track my success (or failures) and I firmly believe that led to me hitting the burnout button faster than I needed to!
With my candle business, I decided that enough was enough and have been very diligent about tracking my success, setting goals, monitoring every number daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly and I'm sharing all of that with you today on how it's helped my mental health and the health of my small business.

I think most small business owners have the same....not sure what to call it...frame of mind I guess. If things aren't chaotic I dont feel like I'm accomplishing much. If that makes sense. But I am struggling a bit. I get traffic to my website but not alot of sales. I've tried to figure out what the problem could be but I just cant figure it out. I worry it could be my prices but I've priced my things accordingly and comparable. Its aggravating!

That does make sense! Have you tried asking people? Ideally you’ve got their emails from the pop up bar on your website so send out a survey and ask, what has held you back from buying on my website! Then you know!

Love this! I’m very type A and am still at a point where I have another job. I have a planner that is literally day by day and I have all 3 sides of my life in there: business, work, and personal! It helps me hold myself accountable because when there’s nobody to shame me for missing a deadline I most definitely will be late 😂 I leave the shaming to my planner hahaha I love the monthly! I tried the monthly printouts before with my job and I was a bit apprehensive but I want to try them with my business 😊 great tips as always thank you!
