I really like pex, did the house water and the shop heating system. The manifolds are awesome, no more tracing lines and hoping there's a shutoff.

A rafter square would be a cheaper option than the laser. Not near as cool, but it works.

how deep does the waste drain have to be? what pitch do you need? do you have to have a 1500 gallon or larger tank for septic? sand filter ? or stone? how large do you need? and how deep? thanks for your video

Are you going to get an outdoor wood burner? As many tree removal jobs you guys do you would never have to pay for heat or hot water ever again lol. Take care

Why don't you run a 3/4 hot and cold trunk lines through the middle of the house and then tee of the trunk with 1/2 to the faucets?

1/2 inch pex will that give enough volume of water? you stated 30-50 years , how does it fail? joint? hose?

With the Manifold, it should, especially if it is looped on the feed. BUT it is extra expense to isolate each termination. Me, if he puts a drop ceiling in the Basement, he could eliminate the manifolds, run a 3/4 main line and Tee off for each termination and put isolation valves in line just after the Tee. Might not be any cheaper, but less lines running everywhere. I'm Old School Sweat Copper. I've got Pex underground from the Meter to the House.

Just got to ask yourself- if it works, is it really a dumb idea?😂😂😂😂 My Uncle that was a plumber for 50 plus years used to say there’s only 2 things a plumber needs to know. Water up. 💩 down😂😂

What is so dumb about it, please inform me. This methodology is use for home zoned floor heating very often.

Despite how it's advertised, Running Pex directly off the Hot Water Heater is a big WRONG. It can melt in certain circumstances. Supposed to be metal within 24" of the Heater, Stainless Flex lines are welcomed. An Insurance Inspector may let it slide, but it's your Basement that Floods, not his. My Father was a Master Plumber for 33 years, mostly Estimator but also did the work when needed.
