In a world of competitive businesses that survive on PR, marketing and publicity, here’s the story of a business idea that turns this ideology upside down. Shreya Soni, the founder CEO of Delhi Secret Supper Club talks about how she ran a ‘secret’ business making profits and keeping the secret for 3 years straight. Today, they are the leading curators of immersive experiences for the country’s finest and most exclusive member base; along with one of the country’s finest lifestyle guides and exploratory platform for a discerning readership who are curious to know what’s new in the city. Having finally now come out of her hood, she has three solid pieces of advice for the upcoming entrepreneurs and people with great ideas buried within for the fear of failing and being too unconventional. Shreya Soni is a postgraduate from Warwick Business School and a former management consultant at Ernst and Young, London. She gave up her career as a consultant and came back to Delhi to found the Delhi Secret Supper Club - the country’s only secret supper club. She has been running the business successfully since 2013 and has experience as to what it takes to be able to turn a seemingly crazy idea into reality. She also hopes to marry a Pizza one day. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
