I have a 2001 PT cruiser my car is at about 122+ thousand miles. I just had all this work done for $1500 all original parts in 2024 that’s not bad. And all four motor mounts were destroyed.

You've got me motivated to go ahead and do things the right way on my 05 turbo. Gonna probably just do it since I found a ton of oil underneath the timing cover when I was hoping to just replace the main mid engine mount. Such a pain! lol

The problem with OEM for PT's is they only last 25,000 miles as well for water pumps 😂

Can u help? Changed timing belt 06 cruiser, starts right up but all of a sudden brake pedal hard to push need 2 feet on pedal to stop the car. What did I do wrong.. HELP!

If you were as cheap as I am on my own vehicle I would probably cut the original plastic to make room for the new style tensioner. When they are side by side looks like it would not affect anything. Not how you would do it if you were going to be married to the problem.
