I’m 15, and almost 300 pounds. I’m in risk of dying. I know I am. I’m so mad at myself for letting myself get this bad. I’m trying my best. I started walking everyday, eating healthier, and swimming. I now weight 274. Which isn’t a whole lot but it’s something, I’m doing it! I’m not even close to done but I’m doing it! You are a TRUE inspiration and I just love watching your videos while relaxing or before bed.🤍

My big thought is "just do better than the day before" reminding myself anything I do today is a little better than the day before. So maybe I fold and have a cheeseburger at least it's just a burger and not the normal 2 cheeseburgers, large fries, large coke, etc...

I was getting ready to walk the treadmill so I searched weight loss transformations on KZbin and picked your before and after video. It definitely motivated me to keep at it and not give up. My goal is to lose 30-40 more pounds by this November. My sister is getting married and I want to feel beautiful and confident in my bridesmaid dress. And I know I can do it! I've already lost 10 by cutting out soda and trying to cut out as much junk food as possible. I fell off the wagon around the holidays but amazingly I've kept the weight off and I'm ready to get back to it and reach my goal! ❤

ive just started my own weight loss journey and ive decided im committing myself to it this time around. i weighed in this morning at my highest weight - 290lbs. ive been going to the gym this past week (zumba on wednesdays for an hour and just stretching and the elliptical on a few other days for an hour), but this morning i was just so discouraged because ive gained about 5lbs. i know it may just be muscle building or water weight or something, but damn it hurt seeing that number on the scale. ive had such a difficult time with my weight my whole life and i keep telling myself i wont let the scale determine my worth. i feel you when you say if i can do it anyone can do it. thats how i felt my first day of zumba last week! i was ready to collapse but i pushed myself to get through that hour, even if i wasnt doing the right moves i just kept moving. your videos have been an inspiration these past few days for me and you have no idea how much i need to hear the things youre saying ❤️

This is why I do body measurements. The scale may not go down but the inches might!
@saral91215 жыл бұрын
A thought to possibly try is to write down (journal) everything you eat everyday. Sometimes people eat a bit more on days that they exercise and don't really realize it. (not saying that is what is happening, but it is just a thought to check out).
@nadiafontecchio83765 жыл бұрын
So muscle weighs more than fat, so even though you might be gaining weight: it might not be fat! So definitely do body measurements.
@LivingLifewLauren5 жыл бұрын
@@nadiafontecchio8376 muscle doesn't weigh more than fat. A pound of fat weighs the same as a pound of muscle. The difference between them is the density. Muscle is more dense than fat so it takes up less room. Take measurements and ignore the scale in the beginning. Your body is confused on what's happening. It takes time to adjust. Just stay consistent and don't let the scale get to you. You got this!

Thank you for the encouragement. ❤️ I started my journey December 1st, 2016. It was going well, but then I started a second job February of 2017. Between my schedule and lack of control, I gave up. My weight has fluctuated a lot between then and now. I'm currently 32lbs down from my highest weight, and this is the year I'm going to get below 200lbs. Currently 5'2” 224lbs, size 14/16. When I was 256lbs I was a size 18/20. Once size 18 was getting too tight I had a mental kick in the ass. It's very hard to lose weight, and sometimes even harder to keep it off. If I can lose a little more than 6lbs a month...I can be below 200 by my 25th birthday this year. Much love.

Thank you for this video

I did the same but I started at 2 minutes walking and 2 minutes jogging alternating for 30 minutes. The goal is not speed but longevity and getting your heart rate high for as long as you can. The 2 minutes was based on that was my maximum in the beginning. I did this for 30 minutes rotating walking and jogging. I then very slowly bumped up the jogging time from 2 to 5 to 15 to 30. Then I slowly bumped up the speed from 5.2 to 7.1 currently. Eventually you won’t need the walking and can just jog the whole time. For me I can’t take a day off. If I take a day off I get more muscle soreness. By going everyday my body seems to adjust and it is easier. Everyone says walking is good enough but it isn’t for me. For me the biggest thing I did was jogging. I was huge at 265 with heart problems and all the problems related to diabetes. But the worst part was bad knees that I still struggle with even after 95 pounds of weight loss. I then worked in abdominal exercises that made a huge difference. I then slowly added arm/chest exercises. The feeling of muscle and strength is nice. The muscle mass helps hide the loose skin to a certain degree especially in the chest, abdomen, and arms. I had worked out too much at first and had gotten edema and heart related issues. I had to take a week off. I had to adjust my routine until I found the right ratio. It’s a constant adjustment but well worth it.

I lost 10 pounds by eating two slices of pizza a day, without crust, for only 500 calories. Side salad, lots of fruit, soups, Point is, you never need to cut out what you love as long as you stay within your calorie range. There is no way I can give up any food, just cut the portions out, because if I deny myself, then it's a train wreck. I even eat cake, maybe half a slice.

I just signed up for kickboxing on the 31st and did it for the second time today. It wasn't easy but I felt so proud that I took myself to the gym. For once I'm excited about doing something. I really hope I follow through with this. 🤞

Are you going to post a video of your back and shoulder workouts? I used some of your arm workouts and loved them! I love all your videos. I started binge watching them when I signed up for weight watchers about a week ago. Thank you for your inspiration!

My problem is what to put in my plan. Right now, I am not going to the gym - even if COVID was not a thing - this body will not be in a gym until I lose some of my weight. I have hand weights at home as well as a treadmill. This is what I have to resort to. But food is a big deal and I have a sedentary job. These are things I have to battle.

This is what I needed! Motivation! I’m so interested in lifting but have no idea on where to start...you should really do a video on lifting for beginners!
