It is said that too much mental thoughts are bad for health. I'm a over thinker, especially at night. I think I need to stop judging myself and my past. It's okay if I am not one hundred percent perfect!

I have difficulty shutting my mind off. Things like running or jump roping can shut the mind off temporarily. I am excessively detail-oriented and obsessively take notes and make lists. I want to be free.

Beggin to find a way to sleep 8h per night And stop doing bad habits: masturbation, drugs, bad talk about yourself and others, too much stimulation from social medias, and doing the right things, eat healthy, sport, reading, writing, cold showers, fasting. Hope you find yourself

right and I'm pretty sure people are also thinking about themselves and they don't think or remember you or your past mistakes, the only one judging you is yourself so stop it

Userful video. Be careful what you feed your mind. Avoid comparing yourself with others, avoid storing bottled up emotions, reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress and overthinking. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils and within the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. You can sit on a chair or lay down anywhere, be as still as possible, eyes closed but no deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. Make it a lifetime habit to observe your breath before sleep, when travelling, when reading, at the workplace etc, if needed with eyes open. Best wishes--Counsellor.

I’m an overthinkertoo. Just let those thoughts flow and they wi Th go away faster. Don’t pay them any mind, don’t act on them, don’t give them any more attention than needed. Just let them flow and let them go. If they become irrelevant they stop occurring so often.

How do we not give them attention when they appear on the mind board ,🥲by default the attention goes to it. And as the mind knows what we r planning it even knows the way to disrupt it doesn't it

Our brains love to overthink in an attempt to solve imaginary problems it creates; which is why it's so important to calm the mind. Meditation is cool, as is mindfulness for giving it some down time. I like the workbook on amz called 30 Days to Reduce Stress by Harper Daniels, and the Tao Te Ching for reminding myself that the brain is needs to slow down.

I experienced the same thing yesterday when I was preparing for an exam. When I heard dramatic music, I imagined what would happen if the exam went wrong and that's when I started believing that just because I imagined that would happen, it would happen, and I was unable to concentrate on my studies. It is a very important medical school entrance exam. please wish me luck and pray for me.

Information overload produces overdoing and overthinking, over thinking feeds the ego an ultimately produces negativity. less consumption of information leads to processing less information in your mind and creates simplicity, decreases overdoing and overthinking ultimately producing positivity and happiness. It is the environment and how you react to it that truly determines your state of beingness. When you stop giving attention to the noise of the outside world and start to connect more with the silence of your inner world that's when you truly can start finding inner peace because you are connected to your authentic self instead of confusing your psyche with the noise of the world. Stay simple. Don't race with the world, Keep a simple mind and engage on the world with caution and care.

I’m curious as to how saying she is super nervous is helpful in any way? As an overthinker I’m sure she knows that. You could have left it at “Cool talk” which it is. Huge admiration for the speaker to be in the arena and standing up so courageously. 👏
