I am a VERY shy girl and I was scared to take classes so I decided to teach myself, as I got into Kpop it really inspired me and motivated me to get up and just dance, I always watched "1Million Dance Studios" and learned, it took a while actually. As I went back to school they were doing a dance program for my year so I decided to sign up, but it just wasn't right for me I didn't like it because they basically copied of "Just Dance'' and so i started off in my bedroom instead and dance the amazing part of it is that at the start of the year people said I had no rhythm and I can't dance ( i believe anyone can dance) so I took the hate and used it to improve myself I started in May 2018 and since then EVERYBODY knows I can dance and I'm always known for being the dancer, I have had those times when I just wanted to give up and I felt useless but never think that. I'm so sorry this is very long but I just want to say don't let a dream be a dream, get up and achieve it.💚✨

But it for to me and I still tried but everyone would just bring me down bc I was terrible. I was around dance a lot and took a class too. But I never did again. But I got the nerve to do it again bc I got into kpop and when I saw the idol mv and cope mv by BTS and was so motivated. I started again and maybe I'm not a pro but I believe i do have skill in foot work and popping. I'm trying a lot to get better and I have seen results. IT'S POSSIBLE PEOPLE! I use to dance and I got so far, but I quit because it was interfering with my school grades since they had the practice right after school and I would stay there until 10 o’clock at night. So around 4:00 to 10:00. I didn’t want bad grades and always beat myself up for not doing well in school so I decided quitting dance was better it’s only been a year since I quit and my grades are better but I look so weird dancing and I miss it so much. I’ve never learnt how to dance without a teacher and I got into Kpop. I’m good at knowing choreography, making my own choreography, knowing the counts and everything else, but I don’t understand why I don’t look good dancing, I thought it might be cause of my body shape and I have no curves to move with, I’m literal rectangle, but I still don’t think that’s it. If anyone knows something that could help me please tell me. Thanks for reading my comment❤️❤️

I started dance 9th grade in my high school. Wasn't very good, it was expected but miss rona hit and I stopped dancing. I always wanted to dance but never got the chance so when I got into kpop i realized i had to take the chance because it felt so good to do it. I had my first performance in front of 6-12 graders so for a person with anxiety it was impressive. I loved every second of it. I was stiff and shy but high schoolers got hyped so they clapped and cheered a long as awful as we were. Now, its almost a year later and I can't even find the reason to exercise, much less to live. Its hard and I love dancing but I can't seem to make myself dance and when I'm able to I hate my body. It isn't the fact that I'm not good yet its that it takes time and that I have to look at myself and it's such a pain to monitor something you don't like.

I love dancing since I was like 8 years because of the Michael Jackson dance game, and I haven't stopped dancing since then. I'm almost 17 now, but I haven't improved much because most of those years were spent dancing the MJ game or the Just Dances games (but believe, they are really helpful), until I guess 2017 I started to move on to more difficult things. I discovered K-Pop and learned coreographies, I auditioned to get into a K-Pop dance cover group in my city a little later (I got in!) and my sister (she also loves to dance) and I got invited to join a dance group in which we've taken our first dance classes, and I think I have improved a little bit this past couple of months. So, let me tell you, don't be afraid of dancing. Don't be ashamed of your dance. Dancing is meant to be fun. And it is also very helpful to your body, because of dancing I'm now also working out at home. Ignore what other people say, if what they say isn't helpful for you to grow. Sometimes my dad gets annoyed at my sister and I for dancing a lot of K-Pop, but that doesn't stop us. Sometimes our parents don't want us to go to dance classes or practices, but we convince them because is what we love. So, if you like it, fight for it, no matter what others say.

To everyone that is too scared or anxious about dancing in front of other people that's totally natural you can always start off by teaching yourself with a mirror or filming yourself and rewatching to see your mistakes.if your parents don't support you can just teach yourself 💗💗. If you feel as if your too stiff or if you look weird when you dance try to stretch before hand and stretch afterwards you can stretch everyday if you want to aswell! You can watch videos on KZbin to find tips for beginners or tips for learning a dance. If you feel like you can't teach yourself to dance watch tutorials (personally I recommend susiemeow because she includes the counts and details, you can also watch imlisarhee because she has tutorials too along with ellen and Brian). If there's no space you can practice inside of gyms or maybe even in your back garden. If you don't get the dance correctly the first time that's completely fine try to take a break for a day (personally that helps me). When dancing always learn from mirrored dances and if you can't get the dance try to lower the speed. If you want more tips ask kcoverists on Instagram I underetand it may seem scary but as long as you're nice they will be nice back! :) 💗💗💗💗

I first stumbled into NCT three years ago. Instantly Jisung caught my eye. He is still my bias, especially since we are the same age. Anyways, he inspired me to dance and its almost going to be three years now. I have grown into a more confident person and I wish to grow more. I currently focus on hip hop, kpop, and folklorico(mexican folk dance). I hope to learn new styles of dance. Even up till now I still have some insecurities watching myself dance on video but when I do I grow more in skill. Any body type can dance if you wish. I am overweight for my height, have a bad back and knee but I still learned. I perform at school a lot and hope to make a kpop cover account soon. At wherever stage, you keep going! Remember, even your favorite dancers were once at the same stage you are now. Even them are still learning different skills in dance today. Don´t let slow growth discourage you, in the end it will all be worth it.!

So supposedly my school had a “dance” team and I was like I *THINK* I can dance So I joined and uhm, it was WAY WAY WAY WAY easier than I thought it would be To the point I thought we weren’t even dancing So I left and homeschooled myself Although my parents never let me rent a studio I compromised and used my iPad as a mirror and record myself Usually I was very stiff but now I realize if I know the song more and keep practicing I’ll strive, I also do stretches to help decrease stiffness :)) So if you think you can do it there’s a 99% chance you *CAN* do it

Taking a dance class can help, I took a dance class for one year and learned a lot! Since I learned the basic techniques, I improved a lot since I do dance before joining the class and for me although I wasn't a bad dancer, however I do know my moves need some polishing and I learned them all in dance class. Furthermore don't worry if you're not sociable because the teachers and students are all carefree and friendly but you do have to be when learning and dancing.

Skills, doesn't come always by practicing blindly. Skill can be improved by practicing the way that you feel comfortable of. You dont need to go to dance course if you're not really wanted to do that, if feel that thing is not a comfortable thing to do, then dont do it. Instead, practice in your home in the place you like and you can freely practice. And also, you dont need to practice super hard song that literally hurts yourself while practicing. Instead, go with the song that you like even if its the simplest one, you can freely feel the rythm without hurting your self on the dance move itself. And you dont need to follow the exact dance style that someone do if that thing really bothered you and you not enjoy to follow that such thing, go with your own dance style that you comfortable to do instead. Remember, dancing is about feeling, if you feeling good that you're doing it good, then its mean you're getting great and you dont need to punish yourself by doing/copying/following the exact skill of someone else, instead do your own that you like

I started dance when I was young but stopped for a while and then went back to it in 6th grade, I’m was very very shy back then and we had to do activities like move across the floor with one other person or solo and it made me anxious. But I only got better yes you may mess up but nobody really cares and over time you’ll get better trust me.

My parents was never able to afford dance classes, so since elementary school I been self teaching myself how to dance. And I took one free dance class by my cousin who’s a dancer teacher where I live, when I was young. But that didn’t last long, when she moved away. So I continued to teach myself and practice every single day since elementary school. Even started making my own choreography, which is really fun. But I’m about to get a job, and found a dance class in my area. But I deal with bad social anxiety and I’m really shy. And I feel like I wouldn’t be as good as the other people in the dance class or I’ll look awkward dancing. But I might just get over my fear and start taking dance classes. Because dancing is one of my passions in my life. Plus I want to be a singer, and I want to be able to dance really good too .

Probably like every week I mention dance classes to my parents but they never really give it a second thought. I don’t have much experience but I always pick up on dances quite quickly and follow choreography videos. Dancing just feels right to me and I’d love to take classes :(
@soobysoob6 жыл бұрын
hmm but just cos you can't take class in person doesn't mean you can't still practice on my own! 99% of my training was on my own by mirroring videos and learning and making choreo but it does def help to have other dancer friends or a team so you can be inspired by them too!

Could you please do a video on how you edited the videos? I’m interested in adding the 8 count to the top of videos and mirroring them like they do in STEEZY the app, but with my own music videos. Thanks so much, great channel! x

I have always been wanted to show people my talent but i am just too shy and nervous Like i see people doing dance covers and it inspires me its just amazing Here is my story : i started dancing at the age of 2 in a half (since kindergarten) and i was able to show how good i was until i hit the age of 12, i dance in my room but i never really dance with a lot of people now I am still going through puberty idk if it has a connection or something but Yeah, my dad was a dancer and a basketball player and i have a little brother that is literally good at shooting ball and throwing lmfao And i get the dance skills I just watched the SUNRISE by gfriend and i memorised some but also forget some My tip to memorise it is that to watch my fav member's fancam and make it slow To catch up with the moves And when i can't get it, i have to repeat it I teach myself on dancing my dad only suggest My worst nightmare is when i was dancing Izone la vie en rose and my mom suddenly walks in I WAS SO EMBARASSED! Anyways...I learn dances in 2-3 days when i watch it all the time but when i don't it'll probably take me 1 week... Theres more but im lazy I'm gonna do a dance cover on vacation😊 hope i will be succesful yieee hahaha

I used to take dance classes and perform on stage. I think all the competition and trying to be the best, to being judged and laughed at about things not related to dancing at such a young age was what stole my confidence and I made myself quit. Idek how to gain confidence back cos I’m too shy to join classes again
@sopha96305 жыл бұрын
I remember I used to take dance/performing classes when I was younger and for some reason I stopped going, I can’t remember why because I loved it, but I’ve recently got back into my initial admiration for dancing the only problem now is that my anxiety stops me from doing anything really because it makes me nauseas (I hope I’m not the only one with that if so that’s kind of embarrassing ksksk) so instead I just learn choreography I’m interested in when I’m alone but I hope I can pick up where I left off from my younger self some day

Please can you recommend me a dance studio in the USA or Korea but for beginners ! I mean I wanna start having dance classes but I feel like the studios these days don’t give proper classes they just teach you a choreography and there’s not that much of relationship between the tutor and the student , I want to find a studio where I can be taught in the right way ! I would be helpful if you can recommend me something Thank you 🙏 Ps: I am a beginner but I used to do ballet for 7 years
