I actually think maxing intent with lower weights has more transfer to jumping. when you jump, the only external load is a ball. You should do both, but those speed-strength days train my CNS like crazy.

why always power cleans instead power snatch?

My thoughts on this is that the snatch is a more technical lift than the power clean where the time/energy used to train his shoulder mobility/stability along with training getting out of the deepest squat position when catching a snatch is not specific to jumping. I’ve been thinking about weighted trap bar jumps compared to a power clean. The trapbar jump could be more specific/also high power output and require less technical work than a power clean.
