Thank you for being transparent about adhd and mental health and how they affect you. It’s so comforting to watch your videos while also being able to relate to the life stuff you talk about. I also think of everything that has ever happened while I’m trying to sleep, was bad at school, and am a very slow reader due to adhd. Also of course I’m in love with your art!!!! Thank you for creating, and thank you for sharing all that you do with the world.

I've been following you for years and your art is a big inspiration for me. I also have adhd and hearing you say that you have it too and talk about struggeling to stay in your focused state is really nice. I've been wanting to draw more again for so long, but I have such a hard time starting. Hopefully getting back on meds again after 8 years will help. Thank you so much for sharing your art and a little bit of yourself ❤️✨

When I found you on Instagram about maybe a yr or 2 ago now, I immediately fell in love with your art and bought both your fragments books. When I got them and looked through them, you really helped me just feel free in my sketchbooks. I started collecting business cards from artists I support, even cute tissue paper artists get customized and stick them in my sketchbooks. So thank you, Audra for helping me understand that I can do whatever the heck I want in my safe place😊💙 Also, can't wait for my Oniberri plushie! I'm hoping before the campaign is over I can snag another 😁💙

You touched on that you've been reading younger-level books, and I think you would really enjoy the book "Secret of the Night Ponies" by Joan Hiatt Harlow :) The setting is Newfoundland in 1965 and focuses on a 13-14 year old girl Jessie Wheller. She rescues a small family, an orphan, and a herd of ponies- it's a really good read. I was absolutely obsessed with it growing up, my paperback copy of the book is literally held together by tape because it's so well-loved! I love that in the past, you've used your art to bring attention to world issues, like the palm oil industry, and this book touches on the meat industry; specifically how wild horses that have been in an area for many generations will be captured and auctioned off to meat canneries. I hope you get a chance to read it, I promise you'd like it!

I've been such a fan for years and it makes me so happy to hear your tips in this video! I always struggle when I'm in my sketchbook to make everything look either unified or at least look great on it's own, so these tips are super useful! I know this is such a general question but can you do a video on how you grew your style and how others can find theirs? I can notice from your work that you have an interest in fantasies, strong women, flow, etc. but how would someone else start to focus in within many interests/passions? Do you have any recommendations or exercises? I'm not even sure if I'm asking this correctly!

I also have some great young adult suggestions! Gregor the overlander series (made by the creator of the hunger games, lots of art inspo there too!) warrior cats series, maze runner series…going a little higher you’ll find a court of thorns and roses series: there are 2 currently I believe but they are amazing. The throne of glass series I personally believe to be an amazing set of book series! The famous 5 is also good

Ooo that's awesome that you're reading His Dark Materials! I read it after hs, then last month my Tarot reader was talking about it so me & my husband listened to the audiobooks 😁 My tarot skills just shot up after Lyra explained how she read the Ilithiometer(?). It was also super interesting reading after studying magic, occult, religion for the last 6 years. The third book is so questionable though 😂 like ahhh I don't know how I feel about this being YA. Anyways I hope you're able to keep it up! After college I started reading regularly, my vocab wasn't that great & very slow reader, but after 6 years of reading every night I rarely find a word I don't know + went from reading like 5 books a year, now at 25 = w=; it's as compulsive as drawing now a days lol 💗💕💗 a fellow ADDer >w< 💕

I thought that the golden compass series didn’t even have a series name, I thought it was just subtle knife, amber spiglass and the golden compass. That’s interesting considering the tv series too! His dark materials is a BBC series about the whole book series, I highly recommend it

have you tried the himi gouache sets? i want to get into gouache but i dont know where to start, and ive heard that those are amazing... plus the box is pastel! kisses from argentina ♡♡♡
@akaErma3 жыл бұрын
I recently bought a himi set to try out gouache without worrying about "wasting" paint. The texture and vibrancy are great, I love working with it. It's very creamy and mixes well. I'm not a huge fan of the cup design, but if you're not carrying it around it's fine. I know you didn't ask me lol but I have been using it a lot exactly for the purpose of learning the medium so I hope my perspective is helpful!

@@akaErma thank you so much, i appreciate your response! im currently trying some gouache tubes that i found at my local artstore (the brand is talens art creation i believe), but once i finish these i would love to get my hands on the himi ones. i love the colors that come on the set, and i feel like the pans contain a lot of paint, im only worried about them drying out over time... anyways, thanks for sharing your experience!!
