Using any cycle with a low selected spin speed just makes the rinsing worse,electing rinse hold will make it do the normal 1000rpm spin to just take out all that extra water between washes and rinses,and the final spin can be skipped,and using no spin will make it do no spins at all.try using rinse hold and the rinsing performance will be miles better

Well done for re-using

I have a Gorenje machine that has a 75°c option which I believe would be a good middle ground for nappies if you believe 60 is not hot enough but 90 is too hot, however I wouldn’t worry myself as I’m pretty sure I won’t have kids for the next 5-10 years, I may still have the washing machine though, it’s a 2000rpm touchscreen model with an automatic door and drawer!

I've always liked the idea of your 2000 machine.

60e on this will heat slightly hotter than 60, around 65 i think mine did

If it was up to me I’d probably do around half an hour 30° pre-wash, then spin at 1000, then a long long temperature holding cycle at as high temperature as they can take (something like 70 is ideal) then I will do five or six cotton rinses then max speed final spin

The higher temperatures wreck the plastic waterproofing. 60 is enough.

Good job. We have cotton nappies. I soak them 24 at 30°, then a cotton cycle with prewash at 95°, with a machine that's uses high water levels. I think this process is better than scraping paper all the time, and it s worth the time, energy and water you needs to do that. But making on big faktorys that paper is even not better for the environment as using our nappies and keep them fresh.

It is difficult to prove which way is more environmentally sustainable. But it is up to each of us to feel we are doing the best. I used to soak and rinse under a hose. Then do just the main with prewash.

It's totally the right way 🎉😊

I would do the quick program and then cotton 60*C with prewash

I think you don’t have to switch the machine off to reset the time, but just turn the dial to the „off“ position, sometimes labelled „X“, and the press start. But I guess you‘re used to switching it off and on again by now haha
@bootsowenАй бұрын
I gave that a go after you mentioned it and it doesn't always clear down. It seems to depend on how long its been since the cycle ended

@ Ahh okay, maybe Not on this model, but i‘ve had similar looking models that did that 😅

Good reasoning, but are the general public reasonable? cheers
