This reminds me of a joke I read a few years ago: Bob ran out of gas, and a bee flew in his car window ... 'are you out of gas' said the bee. 'Yes' said Bob. 'Gimme a minute' said the bee, and flew away. Minutes later the bee returned with the entire hive of bees who all flew into his petrol tank. Moments later they emerged. 'Try it now' said a passing bee. Bob tried and the car started. Bob said 'wow, what did you put in the tank' wait for it ... wait for it. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. I would love to see some sort of day by day (or so...) photo time lapse of a single frame on how how the bees rebuild their comb (without stressing the bees too much or making them abandon their home, of course). I think it would be very educational. If you like this idea, can you do it on one where the comb overlaps? I see both you and the 628dirtrooster sometimes overlap the comb on an empty frame if it's thin and has just been built, and I always wonder what the bees will do to comb that is like that. Obviously, you can just tell me the answer from your experience, but I think seeing it as time goes on would make for an interesting outro or digression in a cutout video.
@JeffHorchoff2 жыл бұрын
I really love the idea of videoing the process of bees repairing the comb after a removal, but unfortunately, I lack the skill and equipment to do that. It's rare for me to overlap the comb when placing it in a frame after a removal as it is more likely to touch the comb from the frame next to it. I think the only reason I would ever do that is if the comb were thin enough where the overlap would occur did not extend beyond the width of the frame. Thanks for watching. God's peace Pete. Mr. Ed

Yes we did, it's a little Honda generator. Thanks for watching. God's peace. Mr. Ed

Well, I certainly hope you will continue rescuing bees, the world needs as many of them as possible. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 500 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them.

From Indonesia , 🙋 stingless bees
@JeffHorchoff2 жыл бұрын
I wish we had stingless bees here, mine love stinging me. I post these videos, to show just how important bees are to our very survival, and why we should not just kill them out of ignorance. I have been rescuing bees from being needlessly destroyed for over 14 years now, and hope to continue to do so for many more years to come. Thanks for watching, and I hope you will check out more of my over 500 bee wrangling/ bee rescue adventure videos and let me know what you think of them. By the way, I post a new video almost every Friday morning, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. God's peace brother. Mr. Ed

@@JeffHorchoff I agree , because of that I am very happy with all the beekeepers in the world. I have been cultivating stingless bees for 3 years. Hopefully I can be like you who are very experienced. Greetings from bee lovers in Indonesia🙏

You may want to keep in mind that truck is old enough it probably ran off of leaded gas. If you just fed the honey back to them as you mentioned it probably won't be a problem though.

That has got to be one of the saddest openings for one of your videos I have ever seen. Economic destruction and hurricane damage. LA has a hard life sometimes.
@JeffHorchoff Жыл бұрын
The intent of the intro was not to invoke sadness, but rather the cool stuff that is hanging around this location. None of what was shown was due to natural disasters but rather one man's love for old stuff and machines. Thanks for watching. God's peace Tommy. Mr. Ed
