Taylor repeatedly beat an All-Timer on the biggest stages in wrestling. That counts for a lot. Dake could get the Gold, but he's not past Taylor(or Burroughs, or Smith...) on the National GOAT list till he gets a win over the International Top Guy, which is Sidakov.

Well the entitled/narcissistic JB lost Twice to Sid. Sid was clearly better than JB. JB is not the goat. He was fortunate for years it was easy for him to make weight. Taylor and Dake were too big. JB was extremely lucky. Taylor and Dake both had overall better wrestling skills. Obviously JB is a great wrestler. However (mainly due to race) everyone rides his nuts

A lot of people seem to not know. Russian athletes were allowed to compete but as unattached. It was Russia that pulled Sidakov and everyone else, in protest. Bummer

No they didn’t get checked for being dirty, something about how with the war efforts going on with Russia is enough to put them down and out for the olympics this run. Really messed up they did him like that, but he’s still got a chance for a world team later this year, I think? might need to make sure

Russia didn’t test dirty, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) has banned Russian athletes who have shown support for the war in Ukraine, or something along those lines.

@@elvisalcomb2098 Many US athletes publicly supported the 2003 illegal invasion of Iraq and they could still participate in the olympics in Athens 2004 and afterwards without a problem- lets talk about double standards. Olympic wrestling without the Russian is not even worth watching !!!

@@DojimaNoRyuEnthusiast It is messed up. I read once that Sidakov was a student at the Beslan elementary school that was attacked by Chechen terrorists in 2004. There were 300+ fatalities and over 1000 wounded.
