How long does it take to burn off fast food? Well, I grabbed a burger and fries and - with no cardio allowed - used a standard bodybuilding workout until I finally crossed the 1,000 calorie mark. The results surprised me - and they may surprise you as well.
Had a lot of fun with the Bodybuilding vs. Burger episode. Would you like to see more? Maybe Powerlifting vs. Pizza? Outdoor Fitness vs. French Fries? LET US KNOW!

In & Out and Chick Fil-a started their employees about $2-3 more than McDonalds. Obviously they aren't rich, but that stuff makes a difference. Culture is different too. You'll almost never receive bad customer service when you go to either one of them. It's a mystery box when you go to other places.

I think weight lifting is more efficient regarding time spent and calories burned, however can only be sustained at high intensity for so long - cardio has a lower time/spent energy value yet can be sustained for longer
@darrelldoan8978
@darrelldoan8978 5 жыл бұрын
Steady state cardio has a more instant impact on weight loss being that it can be sustained longer. However, lifting weights not only burns calories at the time, but also breaks down muscle fiber forcing the body to use more resources because it has to repair over time. Steady state has some benefits, but if burning calories is your goal go with HIIT and heavy compounds.
@Flowmada
@Flowmada 5 жыл бұрын
Cardio is like the person that enjoys working a job as a stripper getting paid nightly and saving it in a plastic bag under their pillow. The calories are burnt on the high end but don't keep coming until the next time you do it. Weight lifting is like the person that enjoys his office job getting paid twice a month and saving it in a high yield interest savings account in the bank. The calories are burnt during the workout, but most of the calories are being earned over time while not working and keep building up interest burning more calories as you build more muscle. In a way, we all would love to be strippers and just make that fast money while putting in hard work to feel like we earned it. But, eventually we start working a desk job and realize the salary and monetary interest from savings just makes more sense. No promise that your friends will change too though. It's lonely at the top.

lmao no it doesn't. If you're working out 1-2 hours everyday that's about 3000 calories a day for maintenance or 1000 calories per meal. I only thought about it once. Most fast food is reasonable calorie-wise as long as A) you don't supersize or B) get non-diet soda. The non-diet soda is what gets most people. Can of coke is like 200 cal, large coke at a fast food joint is around 500. That's what really fucks you.

I've just started going to the gym in July. The goal is to build muscle and lose about 20lbs. In the beginning I wasn't really burning a lot of calories, roughly about 300 per session. Now after almost 3 months, and have increased the weight I can lift, each session (1 hour) is around 550-600 calories with compound movements. I haven't lost the 20lbs since i've gained a lot of muscle (compared to how little I had) but I have lost 10lbs which makes me pretty happy. Keeping my heart rate up, and pushing my limits each time (safely adding 10lbs to my sets when I feel ready) has really helped in both building muscle and reducing body fat.

Cutting/Bulking is overrated. Its completely fine to get to a weight you are comfortabel with and stay there. You will build muscle and change your body composition on a caloric balance if you work out and eat enough protein.
