Great video! I love that it’s to the point with real answers not the fluffy B.S talk that goes no where. I’ve been skipping for the last three months. Going good I’m able to hit 30 minutes now. I also use a half pound rope for a lot of it. Loving it ! Great videos.

Why is your gear so expensive? £125 for a mat??? Amazon has the same mats for £45. How do you justify those prices? I'd love to support you but I just cant afford it.

I'd be super interested to test the longevity of your amazon mats because from my experience, when i buy cheap equipment i have to replace it over and over. but it's your call

I have had my mat for over three years and it’s just now starting to show wear. In addition, my seven-month-old Golden Retriever puppy decided he wanted to dig a hole in the mat. As much as he tried, my pup did not even put a dent in the mat, but he did file down his claws!

Many products on Amazon are knock off products. They are not a quality product, that is why the price is much less. Just save up your change, and buy the quality product instead of purchasing a knock off. Your shins will thank you.

Dan, Thanks for the info. I was wondering if it's possibile to lose the last 10lbs doing HIIT for 20 minutes 3 to 4 times a week? I read somewhere that your body needs to recuperate in order to lose weight. I got the lifestyle food changes down. I'm concern if working out too much might sabotage my weight lose. What has been your experience?

I am not even close to a last 10 pounds, but it was good to hear you say that the single digit body fat might not be optimal for some. Really like your diet ideas and easy to understand directions.
@JumpRopeDudes

Glad it helped! Yeah, don't worry about trying to get your body fat to single digits, that's for bodybuilders but for sustainable fitness that feels good and is healthy, it's not necessary.

I'd love to be able to jump for 30-40 mins but just can't jump rope for more than 1min at a time, MAXIMUM two, without my calves absolutely burning. I have the same problem with running after 5-10 mins. Any advice? I've been doing 10-15x 40:20 intervals, just struggling to progress to jump longer sessions Many thanks Dan ☀️

ive been consistently lifting weights for over 2 years, and i just got a weighted jump rope. how should i incorporate this with my weights sessions? i lift 5-6 times a week and i dont mind doing 2 workouts a day. im looking to use jump rope as my cardio workout
@JumpRopeDudes
@JumpRopeDudes 2 ай бұрын
I'd do 15-20 mins of weighted ropes before lifting. If you're really trying to lose weight you can another 15 mins after you lift, too. depends on your goals and where you're at athletically.

@@aryankamath4409 Actually, I hate to go against the master; and he's not wrong per se btw, but I'll disagree. I lift weights and do jump rope as my cardio. Better answer is, it depends on your goals. If your primary goal is weight loss, what he said is solid. However, if your main goal is hypertrophy and building strength, I've found that hitting the weights hard first is optimal, because if you start with high intensity cardio your energy reserves will be shot by the time you're hitting the weights. So I do weights first, and then in the evening or late afternoon I jump rope. That way neither eats into the other too much and I've had a good few hours to recover. If in a time crunch, do jump rope after weights, but know that you may be quite fatigued; especially your shoulders, when jumping. Again, your approach should depend on your goals, and while neither is wrong, you should optimize for whatever result you're after

What’s the best way to measure body fat?
@JumpRopeDudes
@JumpRopeDudes 2 ай бұрын
well the most accurate is hydrostatic weighing, but that's not available for most people. I have a scale that measures body fat decently well. You could also go old school and get a skinfold caliper!
@rod5718
@rod5718 2 ай бұрын
I’ve had those scales over the years too, but never felt too confident with the accuracy. I’m 6‘1“ tall, 185 pounds and the scale says I’m 35% body fat. That’s tough to believe! Resting heart rate is in the low 40s and I work out six days a week. My workout regime is nothing new, as this is been my lifestyle for many many years.
