I think you should tell people how to scale it up on these videos. You have a lot of beginners that can barely do 1-2mins and then they hear 30 mins to get shredded and get scared and quit.

Your videos are always an inspiration bump. A little more than a year ago, I decided to take my health seriously. I had never exercised, and my diet was atrocious. Now, a year later, I'm down 50lb and find myself looking forward to the next workout. It's important, in my opinion, to get across that weight loss, and getting yourself to a better physique is truly a journey that shouldn't be rushed. Being patient with your body and listening to what it needs is vital. Don't feel bad for indulging when you need to, as long as you keep consistent with your health for the majority of the time.

I started jumping rope a week ago, and I can't wait to see some results. I know it takes a while, so I needed this video right now. I jump 1000 - 1500 so far, but I will increase gradually. I am a 31 year old woman with type 1 diabetes, and while I am not overweight I have gained a lot of weight the last few years mainly due to insulin treatment. Hoping I can lose 5 - 7 kg with this. Will add more push ups to my routine as well (not super consistent with that), and probably some weight training too. I walk around 15000 steps every day... usually 20000+ in spring/summer. I don't expect to reach my goal any time soon, but I hope to see a change in 2 - 4 months at least. Fingers crossed.

Never really was into playing sports and, as a result, always had skinny ankles and lackluster cavs. Started jumping in December 2022, and was jumping about once or twice a week. Shin splints on account of weak shins and ankles necessitated such a frequency in sessions per week. About two months ago, finally got to the point where my ankles are resilient enough to increase my sessions to about 4x a week 💪🏾

@TheWhatever4004 Thanks, and glad to help. One thing I didn't mention was that I also bought me a tibia trainer or tib bar, which is used to strengthen shins and / or tibia bones. If i were you, I would get one of those as well and use it 3 to 5 times a week and 3 to 4 sets each go. Gradually increase the weight when you're ready. I no longer even find it necessary to use currently. I do, however, think that aided in my progression. Deep messages are beneficial on the shins as well. Painful, but worth it. Keep at it, you'll get there, slowly but surely👍🏾💪🏾

I started jumping rope on December and I've seen some changes in my body, but your video is complete accurate, I think is all about discipline because sometimes we just rely on motivation and people get desperate if they don't see fast results, that's because we live in a culture of quick rewards and we hope to see changes very fast without being consistent.

How are things going? Today was my first time thinking about jumping rope, May I started to walk/jog every M-F, I am 38yrs old and trying to become relevant again. I picked up a jump rope earlier today, and purely out of curiosity I tried it out as soon as I got home, damn I suck. I haven't done for many years. It was really tough, I kept hitting my feet (after two or three skips) and overall my stamina wasn't even close to what I was hoping. I've been pushing myself on my daily walks/jogs with greater distances and I've recently integrated short sprints.

@@ObinnaOkehie Hey, thanks for asking! Regarding jumping rope, i feel that I still suck at it, I'm not sure how quickly I should be progressing according to the pro's standards. My stamina has increased though since the beginning, and I don't hit my feet as often as I once did (although it does still happen). Due to schedule changes with my job I haven't been able to walk/run as often and/or as long as I was getting in the habit of, which is real disappointing because I was really starting to enjoy that a lot. But I'm really hoping to get a lot better with jumping rope so that I can supplement it instead of my walks/runs, because I've read that it is considerably more beneficial in comparison, as well as much more convenient since I can do it almost anywhere/anytime. I've been taking the rope with my in my vehicle every day so that it's always available. What are your plans?

I'm floating about 220. It's not the number on the scale that Im worried about as much as the composition of the body. I want some size and definition in my shoulders/arms/chest, and less belly. I don't mind not having a visoble 6-pack (graduated USMC bootcamp at 145lbs, down from 168lbs, and still didn't have visible 6-pack). I'm currently a trucker over the road, so I'm living out of the truck with the world's smallest fridge. Come December, I should finally be moved and settled (and off the road) so I can get crazy with my meal prep (really looking forward to that). As to your closing thoughts? I started at 81kg(overweight on my BMI), my daily jump rope routine mainly focuses on being proficient to the tricks rather than endurance..I went to 75kg after a month. Jump rope tricks made me enjoy the workout and made me consistent to wanting to improving. There were minor injuries, but cold compress and proper stretching helped me. I kept going to reach 72kg, which is my normal BMI. Somehow around 40-50th day I got stuck at 75kg. I got frustrated. That's when I started eating less(fasting like 12-15 hours). At day 77th, I reached 70.6kg. Till this day I still do minimal jump rope, daily and do minor resistance training like pull ups and push ups. But I noticed that my body felt more healthier around the 1st month than today. I feel lazy nowadays but at least my routine isn't gone and I can maintain my 69.5kg even when eating normally. Any ideas as to why my body doesn't feel that healthier? Or is it normal? I started January 20th 2024.

I have lost a stone in 12 weeks. I started the begginer work out with Beandon Epstein. Inbbetween sets i would modify the exercises to make them harder. For example I would use weights for the air squates and lunges. If i was having a day where my ankles hurt i would do the medicine throw down. Also when doing the press ups i would lift weights in a plank type position. I use to work out for over 10 years 5 to 6 times a week but hitting perrimenopause, my body was struggling to lose weight due to a lack of Estrogen but now I am on HRT. I started young, I was 39 years old. The pain I have is usually near my achilles Tendon/Ankle and Soleus Muscle. I want to push more and it is holding me back. I know if i push it too much I will cause an injury. I need some type of support for my ankle area. The run in place skip hurts to do because of the soreness. I also use the 2lb rope and will repeat the 20 exercises usually 3 to 4 times of 10 mins each. I also took my ropes with me on holiday, you can jump rope anywhere. Thanks JRD, this has given me my fitness life back. ❤

Could you make a video about the disadvantages of jumping rope? It's the only cardio exercise I do since I sit for at least 12 hours a day, and it's helped me avoid gaining weight. However, I've been diagnosed with herniated discs, possibly from lifting weights incorrectly or being sedentary. I've jumped rope my entire life, six times a week, at least three sessions, even doing 4,000 jumps once a week. Could jumping rope be a cause of my herniated discs? Before the diagnosis, I was even considering increasing the difficulty by using a weighted vest. There seems to be very little information about the link between herniated discs and jumping rope.

I know people say potatoes/rice/noodles are not good for a diet. But what's your take on sweet potato, both the purple and orange ones. I hear they have health benefits, do you agree? I've been eating right and working out but these are new to my diet and wondering if I should take them out.

Not an expert, but I think they're a better choice health wise and taste wise than russet or yellow potatoes. Brown rice, I'm told, is also a healthier option. I'm not sure about noodles.

I started doing 300 skips and following day 1k jumps each day and over Saturday been my treat day i ended up doing 500 jumps. Notice a massive difference and lost 10lbs in a week. Im not a heavy person but i did need to get my weight back to 9 stone . Today is Sunday so back on track today and i will continue eating right and no harm doing once a week intermitting fasting. Im in my 50s so delighted woth my fitness. 1st time skipping since i was 17. Don't give up if you are just starting. If i can do so can you . Thanks for your video clip. Have a magnificent day

I am not doing very intense workout, I just do 25 to 35 min basic jump daily and take enough breaks also. I want to know, is there any other way to cure this pain to remain consistent in this journey?

First time I jump rope yesterday and I did 2000 jumps under 30min. Is that good enough for a start and a good base for a cardio workout? How do you incorporate (body)weight exercises & resistance training ? I train 5 days a week already (~40min/day) + 2 days for mobility. Should I dedicate a day for the jump rope or train after my workouts? Can I even jump rope daily if I feel like it? 👉🏼 At the moment I’d like to focus on getting lean for I have ~4kg of fat I wish to get rid off. Thanks for your help 🙏🏼 @JumpRopeDudes
