How Many Jumps Does It Take To Beat All Cyberspace Stages? (Sonic Frontiers)

I just tried doing 3-6 jumpless and after an hour or so i actually found a way to get above the pillar! Earlier in the stage there is a balloon that speedrunners use to magnet dash above the pillar part. Unfortunately, without a jump Sonic is too low to home in on the balloon and if you do the stomp you can home in on the balloon but for whatever reason not perform a homing attack on it. HOWEVER, if you use a spindash from the platform right before the pillar to shoot yourself back to the balloon and use the magnet dash at just the right time you can fly forward again with enough altitude to cross the pillar. I needed like twenty attempts to get the right timing, but man, did it feel awesome when it finally worked!

Oh man... let me go try this myself. Edit: Dang, you are so right. Tested it myself. Soooo we can remove 7 jumps from the jump counter at the end :)

Well I guess I should have been more clear by saying that the Homing Dash is the name provided in official Sonic KZbin channel videos which were posted after release so I have no clue if the developers actually knew of the trick before speedrunners found it

Fair point, but it's still apparent at this point that it was deliberately left in, as if they wanted to remove it, they would have done so by now.

6:00 This level I bet is impossible jumpless if you play on Expert because in that difficulty 1 hit kills you.

i think 3-1 needs at least one jump because if you do a stomp bounce you cant homing attack until you use a double jump. ( i just remember you can boost lol )

I wonder how long you spent in the cyber space attack mode trying to unlock power boost for cyber space? Note: I did not see any change in the speed in cyber space with the power boost even though I was playing on File 2 with the difficulty set to Expert lol

For Powerboost, make sure you have it enabled in the game settings. And for Cyberspace Attack Mode, I did it normally, not jumpless.
