They thought, no one would support them (because of fear or propaganda and actual problems, that republic had before becoming empire), but after years of repressions they came up with resources, people and realization, that time of diplomacy have passed away and the empire must be stopped. New canon: one person said "kick the Emperor" and everyone agreed, except white middle aged guys with brittish accent
