Great job really enjoy ur vids. I have a Honda 500 VFR Intecptor and a Honda 700 VFR Interceptor. Please be careful people don't see motorcycles and turn in front of you or run you off the road. Couple of things I have learned #1 have a loud exhaust people will hear you even if they don't see you. #2 Assume people don't see you that are turning in front of you, flash your lights if you see someone attempting a turn in front of you #3 always ride in front of traffic so that cars can't cut you off when the don't see you, drive defensivly and always wear a helmet and gloves and invest in some knee protection. Motorcycles are great for your mind because you have to keep your mind on the task at hand.

I didn't have to take any course. Already had my driver's license then I took the exam for my motorcycle endorsement. If I wanted to save money on my motorcycle insurance the course would've helped but $30 a month for fully coverage, roadside assistance, etc,ect it would've taken years to see the "savings".

Omg man, in my country it costs somewhere between 800 to 1400 euro's to get your motorcycle license (depending on how quick of a learner you are and if you pass every exam in one time)...😅😥 and you found a little over 200 dollars a lot???😅 Ps: In my country you have to do 3 exams, one theoretic, one for handling and one for on the public road. Only to do those three exams once, you have to pay at least €215,50 (these costs can climb up in price if you for example want more extra time in the theoretic exam or if you have to borrow the gear and/or the motorcycle from your driving school, which you almost always have to do)... Also you need to have a health declaration which costs at least €37,80 and if you don't have that, you can't participate in the handling and public road exam (also if you want to get that declaration on paper send to your home adress, you pay €10,- more!). And to get your license (re)printed, it will cost you another €39,75 (if you don't want to wait too long for your license to get (re)printed, you have to pay over €30,-). So all sumed up, without any lessons, without a theory book, without a motorcycle and gear for your exams and if you would pass every test in one time, you have to pay at least €293,05 in my country...

By the way, after watching the whole video, I found out that everything is a lot more expensive in my country😓😔 for a helmet for example is the least expensive I can het it €100,-. Also the motorcycle itself costs at least more than double the price of yours. To get a high milage Yamaha R3 with scuffs and such, I would have to pay like €4500,-. In my the country (which is the Netherlands by the way) there is just one thing where a motorcycle is cheaper than a car and that is the monthly costs (if you are young at least). And you've probably also heard about the A1, A2 and A licenses we have in Europe. So if you want to begin riding when you're young, you have to pay even more🥴

I've also bought an R3 recently. Not entirely finished with getting the full license but I've invested quite a bit already. In England we have a different route to get a license but so far it is CBT: (£130), Theory test (£25), 6h extra training on road (£59, optional training), HJC i70 Helmet (£130), IXS Eagle 2 Jacket (£180), BKS urban brown boots (£80), Gloves not purchased yet. The rest of my license will cost a couple of hundred 😔 The bike itself I bought for £2920, only 20 miles clocked on it from previous owner who bought it brand new from dealer and had already done MOT and changed oils. An absolute bargain. Extra costs include security, my Oxford Hardcore XL lock and chain was £50 whilst a spare bike battery for future use was £20. Last couple of things include cleaning equipment and lube for chain. That would be roughly £20 for the rest I assume. Total cost is about £1k of extra costs after buying the bike 😭 so much more than I thought

Oh my sweet summer child... 2k in Germany, 1.6k if you own a driver's license for cars already for a few years with driving experience. Nowadays you have to fully gear up before you get to sit on a school bike. 1.3k for gear. Bought full leather for best protection. And with the security of good gear you gain confidence. I was allowed to do unecessary things like knee downs during practice. And most people buy small/midrange cc's as a first or a used bike, because everyone knows: you will drop your first bike. So we are sitting around 3k before you get to ride legally here. And if the instructor deems you unworthy for taking the test- you need to book more hours. Usually 45-65€ ea. And practicing on public parking lots is illegal here. All in all please don't cry about 300 squids for your license and please get yourself more gear for the times you are not just cruising. Because with that gear you WILL hurt yourself with a R3.

You did your gear and bike purchasing wrong. You bought a bike, and then with whatever money you had left bought gear. It should be the other way.

It’s a grey area because motorcycle insurance in FL is not required unless you get in an accident… Kinda abnormal when a lapse in car insurance for a week in FL will automatically suspend your DL.

look at videos on how to shift gears on a motorcycle, there are a few slow turns you have to perform during the test, don't use the front brake on those, maybe if allowed, lightly feather the back brake, make sure you get used to where all the controls are so that you don't have to look when you need to use them, don't (and this is for the rest of your time riding) don't ever forget to turn off your turn signal. Have fun most of all don't let others tell you how dangerous motorcycles are and instill fear into you. Everything you do has some negatives, but we do it anyway so focus on the positives like great parking spots, super cheap on gas, don't have to be stuck in traffic....

motorcycle boots are better, because they have something that protects you better than the usual boots you wear for fashion if you are riding fast it's better to get high cut boots that protects your shin and you also need padded pants for knee protection and padded jackets to protect your elbows etc
