MBBS doctors don't want to talk about it because it's kind of shameful, but we really aren't paid as much as people expect. Government hospitals pay far more than private hospitals. Nowadays, there are lots of doctors, so getting a job is difficult. If you want to own a house, car, and get married by the age of thirty, please choose another field. Given the option, more than 90% of working doctors would choose another field. Only if we could go back in time and correct our wrong choices, sigh.

After 4.5 yr of mbbs... You get internship stipened around 30k in karnatka.. Then mbbs doctor van work outside and earn 60k to 1.2 lakh. During PG stipemed is around 90k and after that ur salary is 1-1.5 lakh...it will grow afterwards... In SS stupened is 1 lakh + and salary after it is around 2-2.5 lakh and it will then grow on

You want high salaries with less working hour you should prefer usmle to get around 300k usd after residency or either you should give plab or mrcp you get around 100k pounds in uk (prefer to work in London or Manchester City ). But on my personal preference money is not important in this field.

Usmle requires a lot of money and it is not certain you will get residency there or not despite scoring high. Also you will get very less time to meet parents. And getting citizenship there is next to impossible so forget about getting your parents there in future. I've had many cousins who regretted the decision and now are doing plab/Amc exams

And no post PG not at all get a 6 figure income. It also depends on how badly you wanna earn. The start is always low it can increase gradually or exponentially.

Money is the outcome, you work for the society in the end be it whatever profession you are. You get paid for what you work and there are all professions being paid peanuts but still you’re just worried about doctors being paid low and not other profession. And speaking of which the salary 20-30k (I haven’t known an MBBS doctor earning this low post internship till date) depends on your work hours, shifts and your priorities or commitments. There are a wider spectrum of jobs. It’s just that you’re not aware. If you wanna study for PG entrance and earn there lies the answer of not getting paid high. Only a handful start earning big, majority starts low be it any profession. PG is not a necessity if you wanna earn good money my friend get this into your mind. Now comes survival, do you know there are people earning 10k and surviving? Depends on where you are living. A security guard at a hospital I’m working was getting 8k and was managing it. Depends on your survival skills. But it’s out of context now. If you don’t wanna settle for less, search for hospitals, ngo’s, research institutes, medical content writer or any other domain who pay high. It’s just that people don’t research on opportunities post MBBS and only tend to focus on PG and overlook other reasonably better paying jobs. Also most of us look for comfort zones at work place. Even I’ve done it before. Nothing wrong, but one should realize soon. You either work or you study you can’t do both unless you plan on a long term managing time. That’s why PG courses have a 3 year duration to accumulate knowledge and earn at the same time with spectrum of pay scale depending on the cities or states. Lastly you decide whether you wanna be in that 70-80% category of doctors as you quoted the stats. I don’t endorse what you said. And even if it’s true, nothing wrong in making money unless you earn it honestly. Worldly problems isn’t your business. Loopholes exist in all profession. Focus on yourself in contributing to the society. I’m still an MBBS doctor barely even trying to get into PG since 4 years. I’ve worked at corporate(which didn’t suit me well), NGO, and currently working at a research institute situated rurally with the most satisfying work pay scale. As I said earlier it all comes to your priorities. In my dictionary, once when I get a degree I just don’t wanna sit and just study but I also wanna contribute to the society and study(if time permits). When I’m working it’s full fledged working and no perpetual studying for PG. I don’t know what my trajectory will be. I just shared my insights. Hope you see it as an experience rather than a a fitting reply. Good day.

Only few percent engineers reach 1 lakh and that too after a long time. Abroad earnings doesn't matter since then I can take US doctors earning which is more than what engineers can earn on an average in US or AUS etc. After 5 years you get stipend. If you do your MD from gov college the stipend is from 70k to 1 lakh. North pays more while south pays 70k to 80k ( except Bangalore). You will see most Bangalore doctors crying and not north. Then post pg you get paid 2 to 2.5 depends on your speciality. It increases with experience. So yes engineers are everywhere and on average don't earn as much as a medical graduate.

If you study in government college like AIIMS New Delhi u started to got internship of 40 to 90k. After that it depends on your branch. For example in neurosurgeon your salary can goes upto 10 to 14 lakhs. It can be more or less depends on your skills.

A medical degree given in usa is considered really of high worth but the cost of fees per year is very very high still we are OK with american thing. It's my personal opinion but you can do more research on this topic, what you can do if you couldn't get mbbs is that do b pharma first, then clear exams like KAPS Or PEBC to become a pharmacist in Australia or Canada or after you do b pharma you can become a pharmacist in any other European countries because pharmacist is a job which is always in demand there, so you can do your own research on this topic. 😊

If you are having confusion in whether to pursue mbbs or not go for engineering. Everyone must have different opinion but I think if you are passionate enough to become a doctor and serve the people you should only have one goal, it's doctor or nothing. About clearing the debts and all as long as you have the skill money will flow too ik its easy to say and harder to carry out in reality. At the end only what suits you matter all the best 👍

Sorry to break this to you sis but spending about 1.5cr in your MBBS alone is never worth it Even after completing ms or md you can never earn back the money you put in unless you have a superspecality degree But by the time you get your ss degree you will be already in your 30s So doing medicine in private is never worth the price😢

@@rohangodse4182 nope govt itself pays 70k for temporary and 1.1L for permanent mbbs doc in Maharashtra, so u can calculate in private if practice is gud, if can handle emergencies well, then my plain mbbs ug batchmate was earning 2.5L pm in delhi. Salary is different state to statewise. But the best income for a doctor is in interior areas rather than in cities, but its harsh reality that doctors dont want to go much interior area to work. I m a pathologist i get paid 1.8L pm for 8 hrs job. Clinical branches get paid more. But now a days its too much saturation for mbbs, and only contactual jobs in govt too. Not that easy thing now a days. Need to wait for a week or two, to get a manmutabik job.
