I agree it's hard to know when you're first starting out how much to price your courses, For me now it's easier to know because I'm a nut about it and have looked at, purchased, studied over 50 online courses over the years and I know who is established and what courses deserve to cost $67, $197, $500 and up. I saw a blogger who is established and selling her course for $67 and from her reputation and quality of her content, she should have priced it $200 to $300. I'm not saying who she is because she is well-known especially here on KZbin but I'm guessing she'll correct that in time. Excellent advice Graham! thanks

Excellent Video Graham !! - From another professional musician. Always wanted to learn ProTools when I was younger but not so involved with music as I was in my prime. Still play out now and then. Very much into midi and still use my midi-guitar, and a computer to be a one man show. Anyway, you asked to talk about your strong points, and here is one of the strongest points I love about you. YOU ARE APPROACHABLE ! You talk to us as if you've know us for many years. That is such a natural and organic quality in someone and it promotes TRUST. I see it in you and love the quality. I've watched many of your videos and subscribed to your channel. Great value in these videos. As they say in world of entertainment; "DELIVERY IS EVERYTHING" You're the REAL DEAL! Best Regards ... Jason

Loved this video! I'm so close to buying your course - will be in around a week or so. I have sold my own online course to music producers at around the $2000 price range before. I'm not a big name or anything. But it was really difficult to make sales at this price. Since the pandemic made it even harder to land sales I'm looking forward to having a clean slate and taking action on your perspective!

This is a very helpful video, thank you. I'm getting close to launching an online course in a niche where a lot of information is available for free, though from what I've seen so far, mostly only covering part of a skill-set and aimed at people who are already fairly confident, so I'm aiming at total beginners and providing a structured progression, with additional learning resources and some online support, all in one place. Pricing this has been difficult but i've learned from this to remember I can always step up prices as enrolments grow (fingers crossed!). £xx.97 is a good point too. I hadn't thought of price tiers though, not sure if I can easily do this on Thinkific on their basic plan, but it gives me an idea for enabling more 1:1 online support at a premium price. Many thanks. That workshop sounds interesting... Best wishes.

@@saramarkowicz I ended up launching a 3-month long 1 on 1 coaching program instead (and included the course that I was working on for my clients) :) But now I plan on launching that course, which I'm now almost finished updating, as a separate offering as well. I'm really glad that I ended up doing it that way. The course is so much better than what it would have been had I not had this experience working with clients.

Watching this video has motivated me to make my first course. I'm a real estate investor and buy off market discounted properties every month, we average 50K a month net per flip. I never even thought about showing others how easy this is to do until now. Best of all this can be done even part time. I don't flip them I manage the projects. Interested in the course? Let me know I will have it ready Dec 2024. William Dauria

Thanks for this content, Mr. Cochrane. I really do appreciate it. You mentioned the number of hours of content per price "range" and that was exceedingly helpful. I'd like to ask how many PDF "cheat sheets" and other resources you might have in mind for particular price points. As the prices increase how do you walk the line between not offering enough additional, non-video resources, and overwhelming or confusing clients with too many items? I'm of a mind that it'd be better to provide a few too many PDFs/audio files/etc., than not enough, but I'd really appreciate your insight.
@GrahamCochrane3 жыл бұрын
More stuff isn't the goal for a course - getting them results is. So as long as the bonuses can help them achieve the results they want they it's worth it.
@gelacy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the prompt reply, Mr. Cochrane. I had a feeling it was something like that; I'd read in other places how if a person wanted to charge $X then there's the general expectation of X hours of content, along with X number of PDFs, etc. This seems to be much more manageable as it helps me stay focused on specific outcomes rather than artificial templates.
