My son's fiancé did not want diamonds. She wanted intricate metal work with a sapphire the color of his eyes (that was her quote). He was able to do that for half of what a diamond costs and it is stunning.

If you go lab grown you can save a lot. I dropped about 3.5k and got a good deal compared to most retailers. U dont wanna break the bank but that ring is a representation of you when she interacts with people.
