This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my KZbin channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 885 subs and > 700 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

I wouldn’t have appreciated the power of kindness if someone was not cruel to me. I wouldn’t have realized the importance of growth if I didn’t see myself stagnating. I wouldn’t have appreciated the importance of health if I didn’t get sick. I wouldn’t have realized the importance of real love if I haven’t witnessed my parents’ relationship slowly fall apart. I wouldn’t have appreciated the importance of mindful money consumption if I wasn’t broke. I wouldn’t have appreciated the growth of my KZbin channel if I didn’t start at 0.

Thanks for the encouragement! I've been doing KZbin videos for 4 years, and it took nearly that long before I broke 100 subscribers! I wasn't expecting to ever make any money from my efforts, as I started it as "just a hobby." But a month ago KZbin decided to recommend one of my recent videos, and over that month my subscriber count jumped to 380 as of this morning. Views on that video hit 7.4K yesterday, making it my top performer. So maybe I should give a serious try at making the channel more than just a hobby!

You have done a great job. My journey has been much slower. I think I posted 56 videos before I ever got my first subscriber. [I kept it a secret from the family] I really wanted to give up thinking who would want to watch an old man, but I committed myself to one year. I was posting 4 and 5 videos a day, with no subscribers there was no one to complain LOL I will never forget the milestones. One subscriber then 100, how something so small can motivate you. I finally made it to 1000 and I was on top of the world. Then I found out my watch time was not enough, so I just kept going. Finally after 3 years, I was eligible. Now, I am finally monetized. I can only dream of getting the income you are getting with my small channel, but if nothing else my grand kids will have some videos to look back and see their grandpa riding 10,000 miles on a bike in a year 😃

Yeah I totally understand I have a cycling channel and I am a middle aged man so not so much draw as the younger (better looking 😉) KZbinrs out there but I have plodded on for around 3 years and eventually I have made it to 1000 subs and I am elated. It will take a long while to get any decent revenue but I feel very happy to be here now and look forward to sharing many more adventures with my viewers. I love my cycling and have done for over 30 years so making videos about it is very easy for me and the channel is a big bonus to share my passion with others

thank you! I have a channel I haven't done a lot with. But I decided to try to do more with it this year (I'm a children's author/illustrator, scribe, teacher, crafter and on the older side of life. The down side, is I no longer have "front office" appearance (to be truthful, I don't really have a pleasant visage) and feel very awkward. On the plus side, I can do process videos (learning to master editing now). I may never be monetized, which is a shame, but I still feel there are many who might want to know some of the things I can do, so it behooves me to get over my apprehension and just put it out there. Starting with a few speed draws and a sketchbook tour. I subscribe to your channel, not because it's a field I'm interested it, but because you are aspiring and your approach is a thing I admire, and I like to help and support people and their algorithms who give me value. This is one of the KZbin channel that give me real motivation to start my channel which now have 1960 subscribers with 2300 watch hours and a handful of 66 videos by posting from the start of 2024. I hope I can monetize within two months. I have seen real growth after my 62 nd video. I was posting consistently from February this year. Two videos a week. It pays off. Keep posting you never know which is your break through video. Keep posting. Be consistent no matter what ever happens. The most successful people are not the ones who are the most smartest but the one who never ever gives up. I promised myself I will never give up no matter what happens.
