As I get videos up and going again, I just want to say a few things. First, thanks to everyone who stuck around. Waiting for a channel to wake up doesn't make it easy to stay subscribed. man this hits the nostalgia buttons hard. love it. used to have a friend group way back in 2011-2014 timeframe that would play these sorta nation RPs, with varying success between all of them. great stuff and great fun. sadly have never been able to get any friend group since then interested in them... our most successful was an alt WWI where i was the Netherlands, and ended up siding with Germany and Austria-Hungary (who ended up the overall winners in this version). I used zepplins to invent paratroopers way ahead of the times and caught Britain completely off guard with an air invasion and taking the royal family hostage near the end of the war (also used zepplins to firebomb france into a famine but like, not as fancy a move). I then basically got shafted by my allies in the after war divvying up of land and spoils despite my nations significant involvement in defeating both France and Britain, and so in the inter-war period between games was in talks making secret alliances to betray my former allies in the obvious upcoming next war. man, can these games be spectacular with the right people and GM. would recommend to anyone to try their hand at one.
